    Big Eck said any of the gauranteed regular starters who were getting a game for their clubs could be rested if their managers wanted.

    Walter asked that Bazza get let off.

    The very fact the Barry is going to be 30 this season and still doesn't have 40 caps shows how much regard he has for the Scotland team.

    Ferguson and Hartley have been left out of the squad so they can both rest

    Anyway looks a decent line up, hopefully 2-0 win. If Wilson keeps up his current form he should be in the next squad as he can play both full back areas, which Scotland are short on.

    This is the team i'd like to see for the next qualifier

    A friendly the week before the biggest game of the season for Celtic and Rangers. We have 4 players in the team you posted, and Ragers main man is not in it. I'm just wondering why? Any wee knock could weaken our team for the Spartak game, maybe thats why Fergihun is not in the list.

    If it was up to me I would hold back on McMannus, Miller and Brown.
    Just to be safe. The Spartak game is the biggest game all season. 10m guaranteed, dont see sense in risking knocks when we have a game of that size in a week. Key players as well, our captain, our 4.4 big summer buy and our on form striker. Risky.

    i like the team.
    ferguson never plays for scotland. he see's it as a right not a privilage. cant wait till he stops getting picked.
    eck is a fair guy hes not a hun.
    ffs in his last season rangers fans were saying "hes never been the right man, hes not a rangers man"

    tbh brown caldwell and mick are not all scotland regulars yet so what eck has said and done seem true.

    I didn't see him on Setanta but i'm not surprised he was upset, he's a sheep * through and through.

    I must say i'm surprised WGS has not asked for Mick and Brown to be rested as they are first choices for us. Why Hartley needs rested after starting two games this season is beyond me. WGS shouldn't have allowed them to be played.

    But Brown , Caldwell , McManus and Miller all play . Awww cracking a pointless friendly the week before our biggest game of the season . My thread got closed last night because i hinted i didnt want Scotland to win . After seeing the team today and the clear Rangers bias i have once again been proved right :shamrock::shamrock:

    Mcleish is a HUN, well if not completely he will certainyl have a soft spot for the HUNS. Celtic players aren't Scotland reulars, but neither are McCullogh, McGregor, Boyd or Burke
