Got to agree the big man has scored some important goals for us in the past but hes simply not good enough to wear the hoops, he isn't consistent enough and makes very strange decisions at times.

Samaras is our 2nd top scorer and the 3rd top scorer in the league. He is an aerial threat and has a good touch. Who else would play? Vennegoor is * and we don't have any other strikers. Perhaps Mcgeady but he was pish today.

Even if he was top scorer I would still say he ain't fit to wear the hoops, he wastes posession all the time and passes when he should shoot and shoots when he should pass.

Like I said I'm gratefull for the goals he scored but I would get shot of him and bring in someone of better quality.

TBH the guy seems a nice guy and ive been harsh on him because he does look as if he cares but hes not being playing that well in the games hes getting.

I suppose anythings better than having to go with one striker though

He is a better player than Skippy. If he had the amount of games Skippy did this season he would have cleared 20 goals a long time ago and that is just the ugly fact of how poor this season has been for Skippy. Skippy has one more goal than Samaras all season and has played over 1100 minutes more!! It is a disgusting joke.

Samaras has a better first touch than skippy. Better placement when shooting. Far better passer, skippy is a terrible passer, today was an exhibition of how not to pass by the Australian. 3 disgustingly poor hospital balls and very little pace on most his passes. Skippy also panics infront of goal due to his lack of technique.

Today even with a not brilliant game, Samaras was always more likely to score or give an assist than Skippy in my view. I would have bet my account on this site that Skippy would not score second half, but I was in the bath from the 60th minute so couldn't post it.

Having said that, Samaras was poor also today and looked disinterested, whether he actually was is debatable. Skippy always looks angry and energetic and that wins the infamous British sympathy vote for 'effort' many fans relate to.
Samaras cannot play with Skippy who clearly has a complex about Samaras. I would say either JVOH and Skippy or Samaras and JVOH. Samaras and Skippy on the same team is a joke. Even when Samaras passes to Skippy he gets verbally abused by the underskilled Australian.

Celtic should have far better players than Skippy and Samaras anyway. I am being serious, Skippy would not start for any of the top 6 Greek sides, I am 100% sure about this. He simply does not have to skill and versatility.
