Quite simple really when you go to the chippy is it salt and vinegar or salt and sauce . Peronally its got to be salt and vinegar I think salt and sauce is an East coast thing.

Salt and vinegar, if i wanted chips to taste like sugar i would make them at home and splash ketchup on them.

salt and sauce is lovely but I have only seen it in Edinburgh. You dont get it further north on the east coast. Other east coast things in chippies - mock chops. Sorry but east coast chippies are far nicer.

Never tried "sauce" but I don't fancy the idea of vinegered down brown sauce. It sounds like sort of stuff you get out a snack van when they are running low on brown sauce.

Salt n Vinegar please... and lot's of it:50:

Salt and vinegar, but at my cousin's local village chippy in the east of Scotland, the standard sauce is a weird curry sauce like thing and it's quite good..
