so what your saying is the only way to get proffessional football players who earn a * fortune, who play for Celtic to actually perform is if the manager jumps about like ab extra from one flew over the cuckoo's nest??

    PISH!! UTTER PISH!!!

Once they go over that White line it's down to the players. Mowbray could bring out a sleeping bag n a pillow n go for a sleep for it matters. It's the players job to beat hibs.

Would you rather he turned green like the Hulk, ripped his shirt off and ran the full length of the pitch, grabbed samaras by his hair, threw him to the ground n kicked the * out of him when he headed over the bar from 4 yards? Would then make him a better manager??

  3. Nonsense

Okay, which manager was in a more advantagous position than him?

Martin O'Neill probably had more money to spend, but he joined on the back of Rangers dominating Scottish football for more than a decade. He had a much poorer squad than the one Mowbray inherited and Rangers were spending more money than ever.

Gordon Strachan got a decent amount of money in his first season too. But once again, he had inherited a stale squad and over the next few years he eventually had to be very prudent in the transfer market particularly with wages.

His team lost the championship on the final day of the season like O'Neill's team did in their last season. The only difference is O'Neill's team was filled with guys in their mid-30's who were close to retirement. I can't think of a single player over 30 in the squad Mowbray inherited.

So he has a decent and relatively young squad who lost the title on the final day of the season, more than 10 million pounds to spend on players and Rangers are spending literally no money whatsoever. How many more advantages do you need?

seen this comin...so many ppl wanted to have TM as manager, then we gt him, few months down the line, SOME of the same ppl now want rid of him again. Old firm teams demand the league in the first season but i agree, dont think strachan left the team in the best state but TM should still be motivating players n its clearly not happenin...to have a "i'm bored" attitude is ridiculous! if your bored then * off! We should have been aimin higher for a manager at the start, i didnt want TM but was open to the idea, I wanted Bilic for my own reasons. personally, i dont give a toss if the manager has history with the club...just want someone who's got a proven track record at winnin and attracting players with quality and a "want" to play for the club....somethin we dont have. realisticly aswell, would Lambert leave a team that he's only been with 6 months, and sittin top of the table? fair enough leeds have 2 games in hand but still, he's doin well!

fair enough he isnt playing well but no need for racism. when fortune plays bad i dont think youd call him a black * or when we had berkovic doubt you called him a jewish * so why the racism towards samaras?

Robson and Hartley of the top of my head

  9. I couldnt stand him when he first came in, and i cant stand him now.
Get him out, if we want any chance of saving the season, because imo hes ruined it for the next few years too

Didn't Hartley leave before Mowbray arrived? I'm sure Robson was the only player over 30 in the squad although a couple of guys were close to turning 30 like Boruc & Naylor.

It is totally UNACCEPTABLE to be dropping poitns to * SPL teams AT HOME!!!!!!! if you cant beat dundee, hearts, falkirk at HOME you deserve to be sacked even with an unhealthy 11, celtic reserves should be able to beat falkrik's starting XI at home, this years celtic side has no ambition or will to win and it shows in their play im sick and tired of hearing that we have to give mowbray and his staff time because before these supporters are ready to sack him we will in the bottom 6 of the league and at CELTIC this is unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The manager is the influence on the way the players play, they look like they are not ready to play, unmotivated and have no drive whatsoever and if you SACK a mowbray it will get into the players head that if the manager can lose his job so can anybody and they will play up to their potential SOMTHING has to happen IF not Celtic will be playing like this until somebody says YOU CANT BE IN SUCH POOR FORM AND STICK AROUND AT A CLUB LIKE CFC!!!

This is just my opinion PLEASE dont say harsh things towards me as i am just stating what i belive is right for the club if you dont have anything nice to say dont say it at all this isnt the GERS i am one of you!!!!!!!!!! HAIL HAIL

Sack the manager at the end of January meaning, if you manage to convince someone to take the job (knowing the Celtic fans will only give him until May if that to succeed) is going to improve us how exactly?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    As for the Celtic fans calling our own players/manager *, *, fuckwits etc get a grip, great fans that abuse our players like that <?xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /><v:shapetype id=_x0000_t75 stroked="f" filled="f" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" o:preferrelative="t" o:spt="75" coordsize="21600,21600"><v:stroke joinstyle="miter"></v:stroke><v:formulas><v:f eqn="if lineDrawn pixelLineWidth 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 1 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum 0 0 @1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @2 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 0 1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @6 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @8 21600 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @10 21600 0"></v:f></v:formulas><v:path o:connecttype="rect" gradientshapeok="t" o:extrusionok="f"></v:path><o:lock aspectratio="t" v:ext="edit"></o:lock></v:shapetype><v:shape id=_x0000_i1025 style="WIDTH: 12pt; HEIGHT: 12pt" alt="0" type="#_x0000_t75"><v:imagedata o:href="http://www.talkceltic.net/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif" src="file:///C:\DOCUME~1\DGREEC~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\msohtml1\01\clip_image001.gif"></v:imagedata></v:shape>, sure I'd want to give a 100% to a group of people screaming that at me (and I have heard it at the games, not just on the forums)<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
Things aren't going well just now but sacking the manager will not suddenly solve all our problems, I didn't see anything in TM's tactics last night that I thought were wrong, we were going for the win at the end and were caught on the break, it's been known to happen, if he didn't go for the win and played out the last 10 mins for a draw you'd have the same people calling for his head.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
No-one is happy with the current position we find ourselves in, unfortunately too many people are only too willing to jump on the bandwagon and just come across as spoiled brats a lot of the time, I never wanted him - get him to *, he plays samaras, get him to *, he doesn't jump around the touchline, get him to * - do you realise how childish that all sounds, yet it happens regularly?

Everyone wanted Strachan away. But when he went you had to know that to bring an attacking game back was going to hurt, right? Who were we going to play this passing dynamic offense that everyone was yelling for through? Hartley? McDonald? Who?

As far as the defense in shambles, was it better end of last year? I remember it being pretty bad. So far this is leftovers of last years mess.

correct!! ive been saying this since the start of the season ,way way too many chances missed .samaras is a waster of epic proportions ,just look at the chance he missed before being subbed ! the clown is doing it all season .The only reason i would blame tm is if he keeps playing the waster..:31::31::31:

Still to be convinced about Mowbray, but I don't see how sacking him at this stage will achieve anything, a new manager coming in won't have any time to make any changes in this window.
