As Transfer fever is upon us once more we are gripped in a time when the laptop loyal feels it is their best interest to fabricate their EXCLUSIVE! Stories about the many Celtic transfer targets only for days later to confirm we have been once again on the end of stinging SNUB!

By now im sure many are wise to this, but regardless for some reason find our selves buying the news papers we claim to hate to read another dreamed up SCOOP by some bored journalist worried for his credibility because try as he mite he can never find any genuine behind the scenes hot Celtic transfer gossip and the main reason being Celtic do their business in private and its almost always been that way since the club has had somewhat of a professional rebirth from and after the Fergus McCann days , instead they run with word of mouth agent comments and more worryingly forum wish lists and rumour mill suggestions.

So now once again I find myself checking NEWSNOW on a daily basis and viewing several forums transfer rumours pages like im sure we all do, today I have decided to contribute to this transfer rumour section for no reason other I feel I know something that my or may not be of interest but what the * I’ll lay it on you anyway.... like you have a choice * cough cough *

Well i'll start with the big rumour ( rumour being a key word here ) regarding a one prostitute loving porky all round good guy and unquestionable footballing talent Ronaldo Luis Nazário de Lima of AC Milan.
From what im told the guy is seriously on the agenda and talks are believed to have already begun with the player’s agent Giovanni Branchini and more significantly the American agent responsible for Celtic’s sponsorship deal with Nike soccer
    USA.

I'll explain a bit of what know regarding Nike and their "clout" so to speak with clubs nations and most importantly individual players.

Back in 1998 Nike had a 10-year sponsorship deal with the Brazilian team for a reported $200 million and had just brokered an 11 year deal with Inter Milan for $125 million and where widely accused of forcing ronaldo to take part in the world cup final against france whilst carrying an injury and a rather questionable mental state at that point in time with him being the front runner of their entire 1998 campaign and also launching the R9 boot range that year its easy to see how this could be assumed.

Nike may also prove to be a massive factor in the prostrated transfer saga's involving 2 of the biggest "will they wont" they deals this summer involving Cristiano Ronaldo and ronaldinho if either players move to a team without Nike sponsorship they stand to lose quite a significant amount of revenue with ronaldo currently picking up somewhere in the region of 220 k per week and Madrid offering 200k im sure you can do the math. This looks likely to be the reason ronaldo will opt to stay at
Manchester united and kick-start the worldwide launch his new Nike range CR7. any hope of ronaldinho joining Manchester city would hinge on a shirt sponsorship deal with Nike, but enough of that and back to Celtic and the rumour at hand.

Our apparent target Ronaldo is thought be on something in the region of 80 to 90 k per week at AC Milan and with the club having somewhat of a financial pinch at the moment they are reportedly keen to get him of the wage bill and willing to move him on for free. Taking into account Ronaldo has recently played for two teams sponsored by adidas he lost a significant amount of cash on his Nike deal.

Im sure you can see where this is going.....

This rumour comes to me from a nice chap who is one of many employed by the club to help foreign and British players settle into the club and the city and was able to inform me of several signings before they happened like Scott Brown , Thomas Gravesen And Big Jan in recent times and also Stan Petrov's Departure , now don’t get me wrong there has been rumours in the past from this very source that haven’t came to fruition so this may or may not happen I’d be more inclined to say it wont happen but you never know

Remember the key word once again RUMOUR
