[Cross Platform] Resident Evil Origins Collection

22nd of January 2016 will see the release of Resident Evil Origins which includes the remake of Resident Evil 1 originally released on the GameCube in 2002. RE1 was also made available to download on the Ps3/4 and the Xbox360/One this will be the first time it has a disc issue on the consoles (excluding japan) and it will also include Resident Evil 0 you know the one on the train carriage.

So great * news i'm excited a chance to relive part of my childhood in high definition can't wait! its retailing at £24.85 as of right now on Amazon. Anyone else looking forward to it?

Capcom are also remastering Resident Evil 2 for the Ps4 XboxOne etc, which is also great * news!

 

I am really looking forward to playing Zero. I have had it for years for GameCube but never got round to playing it. I played the 're released update of the first resi on the GameCube so probably won't bother with that although it will probably be brilliant in hd!
Its a shame capcom decided to totally * that series up. I am sure that they are in ab it of financial bother so they will be listening to the fans more now and a good remake of resi 2 would rake in loadsa money.

 

Pre ordered it digitally on the Xbox one. 15.99 and its out on the 19th not the 22nd bud.

Absolutely loved playing the original remaster last year hope this is just as well done.

 

Resident Evil 2 isn't just a remaster, it's a complete remake from the ground up.

 

I hope they keep it like the original with the fixed camera angles, having to be strategic with your ammo etc etc

I hope the exact opposite. :smiley-laughing002: Played RE1 and RE2 for the ps 1 which were fantastic and downloaded the remastered version on the 360, but can't get used anymore to the clunky controls and weird camera angles.

 

I didn't think the download of Res1 on the newer consoles was as clunky?
the camera angles for me add to the atmosphere, but i can see where you are coming from, It does feel dated but thats the beauty of it.

Mind man this release doesn't include Re2 just 1 and Re 0, hasn't been any release date for 2 yet.

 

I think it will be the over the shoulder camera and game mechanics from RE6 and Revelations 2 but they'll keep the survival horror elements instead of action based like RE6. If I can remember right Revelations 2 was quite stingy with ammo and it worked quite well.

On a whole I wish they would just reboot the whole series and forget doing these spin offs like Operation Raccoon City, Umbrella Chronicles and this Umbrella Corps shooter game that's coming out. If Resident Evil 7 is going to be a direct sequel to 6 it will be * because they'll go for action over survival. Capcom have been ripping the * out of the Resident Evil franchise for years now to the point fans want remakes of the old games rather than new ones.
