    Doesn't read any discs at all :31:

    Seems from looking at other forums that its not a rare problem. Any of you guys had this problem and know how I can get it fixed for free?

    that happened to me m8. just bring it back to wherever you bought it or to a repair shop for electronics, they should to it for €50 or £45. If they cant fix it they might give you a brand new PS3 for the £45 and you broken PS3. thats what they did for me.

    nah its sat in the same spot for years lol

    played 2 games of waw and then it crashed, reset the machine and no disc there, tried other games and a blueray and still no disc.

    Sonys gonna get a call.

    Its no where near as common as a third of all consoles.

    I heard If you sometimes restore the settings It works.

    EDIT : If that doesn't works where abouts do you stay? GForce next to Glasgow central is good for repairing PS3's

    Everyone I know with an Xbox has had the red-rings problem (6 in 6), no one I know personally with a PS3 has ever had such problem (I know about 20 guys with PS3s), so it's hardly a victory for the Xbox. :86:

    Aye, very good. Laughing at someone else's misfortune to prove a point about which console is better.

    And for the record, I've never known anyone to have any problems with the PS3. Every single mate who owns a 360 has had problems.
