Can we put tonights game down to "one of those games" or should we look deeper into this?

Do we blame WGS or do we blame the players?

We had enough chances to score a few and "could" have won by 3 or 4. If we had it would have been a cracking result. Lets look on the brightside, they didnt nick a goal - that would have been a disaster - we got let off the hook in some ways.

so * off right now though. its not easy being a Celtic fan. Results are up and down like a prostitutes knickers (unless she pulls them to the side).

she pulls them to the side if your in need of a quickie.

We should have won this, we haven't its hard to fault the manager with the exception of leaving out McGeady (resting him after the ROI game?!?) I mean who else should have started JVOH? surely not after Samaras's goal explloits in the previous SPL matches...we should have had this in the bag. So maybe I blame the players a bit.

I blame Robson and the linesman.

thats a bit more sane. I would guess WGS played about 10 out of 11 of the players most of us would have picked and in the formation most of us would have picked.

A couple of players could have done better but overall tonight for me was about a lack of the subtler touches and clever runs at the end of moves. Maloney, Aidan and Naka are the best in the SPL at that but they are not all that special at CL level. Same goes for our strikers. Alborg played 100 times cleverer if negative tactics than Motherwell last week. On the night Alborg raised their game to a level higher defensively than you would get in the SPL other than OF games.

Linesman got offside spot on, inches in it but spot on, let's not blame him.

The referee made mistakes, the linesmen made mistakes, Gs made mistakes, the starting 11 made mistakes and the subs that came in made mistakes. It was one of those nights if you ask me.

You can see inches in a split seconds decision or did you need the instant replay to distinguish that fact?

We were onside and the rules clearly state that the benefit of the doubt goes to the attacking team.

110% correct on this, what else could we have done? I'm not going to re-iterate your post further as nothing else can be added to it we could have played better etc...

The linesman however :31: but we're not paranoid are we.....

Against a team like this, I'd like to play much more aggressively... maybe it's time to shake up the formation. I think Crosas should have started in place of Brown, that could have been a weakness-turned-strong point for us today (tonight).

I would also like a new left back.

It was definitely a night to play Crosas - his vision would have helped open up the Danes. There are definitely very serious problems at Celtic Park - a lot stems from the management team. Whether it is players thinking they are better than they actually are or being allowed to be lazy.

Time for Strachan to go and someone with some tactical knowledge to come in.

I thought his defending wasn't too bad tonight, but he can't find a man at all. There were people much worse than him tonight, but left back is really the only position where we don't have cover, that's why I said I wanted a new one. Loovens can come in at CB, Caddis and Wilson at RB, and Crosas could come in at CM to shake things up... maybe not permanently but at least to get rid of the complacency.

We had enough chances to win by 3 or 4? Didnae see that. People are still caught up in the mass delusion that we are a quality European side based on the unbelievable luck we had last year. Every goal we scored was a deflection or a serious defensive * up, 9 years out of ten you simply don't get that luck, tonight we didn't.

Frankly WE, the crowd didn't deserve the result tonight. My throat is hoarse from trying to get my section going. Bunch of lazy * sitting with their arms folded waiting for fireworks. Those supporters didn't deserve a winning team tonight. I hope we lose every European game until these * remember that we have a part to play in all this and these games aren't to be taken for granted.

And YOU, whoever is reading this (and this applies to 9/10 in stadium so I know you's are reading it), who showed up waiting to be entertained tonight rather than to support the team - * OFF and don't come back to celtic park until you can pucker up more than a half hearted clap and murmered 'walk on' for your team . You aren't needed, you contribute nothing. In fact you just bring down those who are up for it. This isnae the * cinema, you *, this is Celtic Park and if you aren't here to support the team go and watch it on the television.:38:

Comical statement considering his achievements at Celtic and the result.

Diegan, that maybe the case but the window is closed. Need to focus on what we got. Naylor didnt cost us the game so making statement that he should be replaced doesnt reflect the problem that cost us the game, imo.

Cannot blame strachan atall, McGeady has been left out because his forms been poor & when he came he was rotten anyway & JVoH was benched due to Salmonarse havin been an on form striker. The team was just * tonight & i think they bottled it under the presure

i think it just comes down to quality. we are so predictable, our midfield cant cope being put under pressure we are technically very poor. were always forced to pass it back, and then its just hoofed forward, every team is guaranteed to get decent chances as our defence is always a disaster waiting to happen even in the spl.

    Solution =

    Loovens in for Mick.

    Caddis in for Hinkel.

Give McCourt and/or Mizuno a run out to see what they can do.

Give Crosas an extended run and see if he can last the 90.

    = Better.

not far wrong there, with crossas loovens ,maloney ,and paddy ,they guys could offer us something different ,maloney is the only one getting in ,we paid 3 million for a CB that we havent seen yet really ,and we have to put up with constants mistakes getting made at the back ,

come january i wouldnt blame mcgeady, boruc ,or anyone half decent leaving celtic ,boruc especially ,way * in front of him ,he must be * of
