POLAND-WALES official thread :)

Less than 1 day...
ehh. We all know what is waiting for us.
This tommorrow game, against Wales, will probably settle our, Polish NT qualify to WC 2006(I belive).

We can do this for the 7th time in history and 2nd consecutive (and who knows, maybe repead our 3rd places in 1974 and 1982).
But back to present, Injury of our Celt-Maciej Żurawski, who had score 6 goals in this elimination is only one problem of our coach Pawel Janas before wendesday battle. Second one- goalkeeper Boruc, who is an object of all Celts adoration don`t have any problems and will be our "wall in goal"...
Irrespective of the fact that Zuraw wouldn`t play, it`s also possible that our coach will make some changes after match with Austria, couse of our tragical play in both sides of defence.

Anyway, coach of Wales have more serious problems to solved. Unfortunately Hartson is exclude couse of cards, Bellamy is injured and, what is most important in my opinion, the best player in Wales-England match(Earnshaw) have also problems with health and it`s not sure he will play!
Couse of this all facts, john Toshack must give a chance to young wolves like Craig Davies from 4th league(!) Oxford and change tactic from wings play "using" Hartson to fast counterrattack through the ground which is not best in Wales style...
One is sure- 24 hours and we will se a resultat of this experiments.

Our play is like always suprise but all Polish people (supporters, players and coach) know that most important will be last score, even after * play. We played so many beautiful matches in this WC qualify that we can`t destroy it now.
This last step is always hard but we(especially players) must remember that Poland is simply better team with 7 wins at 8 games (Wales have 2 points after 7).

We have also new history record(since 1978) by winning 6 plays in a row and didn`t loose 8 last matches!!! So... we can make it better for next 30 years!


from other facts- referee will be Claus Bo Larsen(DEN), the same who was referee in first Wisla-Pao match[3-1] and Crowd->13 500.(1000 from Wales).

Tomorrow is an important match for Poland - for sure you know it all - but for a nation living in the rest of * of red terror from Russia have to get some power! The power most of the poor and * up countries quiet get through football!!! Look at for example Argentina - thatswhy I wish no I will see POLAND on the WC at Germany. WIN POLAND against Wales, show them who is the chief in his country - NIECH ZYJE POLSKA !!!

Easy guys, Poland will win tomorrow, Wales don't stand a chance, despite of our injuries.
Zurawski and Krzynowek, are big losses to our team, but we have quality replacement.
Kosowski showed that he can wreak havoc on the left side, and Frankowski along with Oli are good substitutes for Zuraw.
I am only worried about our defence, we are lacking there big time, but good offence is always good defence!

Magic will shake off the injury to play against wales, its only a minor knee problem. What happened to Olisadebe? I remember he was great but he sort of disappeared...why does he not get a game with the NT?

 

It´s nothing in his knee mate, it´s something with a muscle, not much important. But he said yesterday he needs a miracle to play today.

I didn't follow Oli very closely, but he always seemed to have one sort of injury problem or another, when he was needed in the NT... some people accused him of not wanting to play in the NT, but that may be a bit harsh, he didn't start for Panathinaikos either (untill late last season, I think).

Now he's fit though, scored 2 against Wisla, and he obviously would like to go to the WC so we can probably count on him again :/. Still Zurawski, Rasiak and Frankowski on current form deserve a strating place before him.

 

hmmm... yesterday, Zuraw: "It`s almost 100% that I wouldn`t play tommorrow. Only miracle can make me play I think"

and...last news from NT camp.
Doctor of Polish NT: "Zurawski health is better than yesterday. It`s not sure if he will play or not. Everything will be clear one hour before match"
