In light of our little trip to sunnier climates this week, thought i would see what the general feeling is toward Lawell. Personally i think he does a right good job. For me one of the usual criticisms of him is his unwillingness to spend, which i dont get. For me he has backed most of his managers tho rest of January might tell us if he really backs Ronny long term. Just need to look at what we have wasted in recent seasons with the likes Bangura,Pukki,Balde,Boerrigter and Juarez. Lawell has given his managers money and thats fact. Lennon and the likes of John Park can be credited with the Ki's Wanyamas and Hoopers and thats fine but when we sign keech they have to share in those as well. So we went to Spain to earn a few bob. Big deal. Thats what i would expect the guy running our club to do. Make money. Like i say tho. January(whats left of it) will be interesting. Needs to back the current manager

The loan signing of Guidetti probably saved his job.

Paragraphs mate, paragraphs. -
Can't stand him. He's gave Ronny a near impossible job. All this absolute * he comes out with about spending what we bring in hasn't been true for years.
Know what we do spend plenty on ? His wages and bonus.jamesyboyhail likes this. -

Overall good job in a time of horrendous austerity.

Snake. I wouldn't believe a word that comes out his mouth. Good talker though, manages to wrap fans round his finger. Could have been a politician.

Great business man...unfortunately.

Does the job that Desmond tells him to do and obviously very well while earning himself £1M per year. Unfortunately we do not have any financial except from selling players and possible champions league money unless Desmond fancies sticking his hand is his pocket, which he wont anymore.

future politition talks pish book balancer at the expense of the team .we have gone from a team who could compete with the best to a middle of the road side .a sad demise to be honest I am confident of beating no one .you don't know what will turn up each game .

Great business man, follows Desmond's instructions to the letter and an absolute weasel pf a human being.

His Pravda like interview on Celtic TV was disgraceful and completely shifted the focus of a disastrous close season away from him.
Needs to back the manager in this window but I wont hold my breath. -
Easter Rd Davie and packybhoy like this.

He's frustrating, but I'd rather have a tightwad than go down the Rangers route. Sometimes it can be healthy to have a 'no' man in that role.

He is at a real crossroads just now. He wants the money to be in before he spends it but if we keep going the way we are going, attendances will continue to fall, revenue will be down and this vicious circle will continue, in fact it will get worse.
He needs to do something to excite the support, get people back through the gate.
This is the time you need your CE to be brave and creative. Will he? Doubt it.
