When I was younger, I used to sneak into the Celtic games. From Feb 2008 until January 2010 until I got a season ticket. I have renewed mine now for the full season. I remember trying it the first time against Falkirk. I never got in. Then I tried it against Barcelona, I got in. From then I sneaked into every single Celtic home match that I went to. I also took a few trips to Ibrox and Hampden to do it. 2/3 times I have went to Ibrox I have got in. 1/2 times I tried Hampden I got in. I kinda look back now and find it a bit immature. But as I can say. I was young. Well January wasn't far back but I turned 16 and I didn't want to risk getting fined or jailed. I always got told, if you don't get caught, then why stop doing it? My question is to you guys is. Did you ever used to sneak into games when you were younger and what do you think of the young guys who do it now?

Used to double up with my mates at Parkhead all the time before the stadium was re-developed.

Stewards didnt give a toss, place was half empty anyway most the time

every football fan of a certain age has sneaked in to games ,it was called a "
lifty young stars like myself used to hang about the styles

and ask random men of a certain size to lift us over the half
    turnstile
at that time ,,THEM WERE THE DAYS MATE , then health and
    safty
    got a boost in
    finance
and spoiled it for every one so i just waited outside till they opened the doors near the
    end
of matches to walk in and the stewards
    couldn't
    do a thing about it

Well ultimately they are right though and are doing their job.

My ticket for Celtic V Man U CL game never came through the post and I had to collect a duplicate.

Then some wee ned * had the * brass neck to try and chuck me off my seat at the game with my * original ticket, which he had obviously either nicked himself or bought off the * that did. :47:

I was furious, even showed him my season ticket with my name on it and still he started on me, even though everyone around me told him it was my seat and he better get to *. I ended up in the stewards office with the wee * and several stewards, who after a lengthy investigation, eventually lobbed him out.

I told the stewards in no * uncertain terms it was a joke the wee * managed to get in with that ticket in the first place.

My point being, it can cause a lot of trouble nowadays with all seater stadiums, it was different back in the 90's when it was terracing and a half empty stadium.

If you could keep the details of how these zany schemes work to yourselves, that would be very much appreciated. At the end of the day we can't let it be encouraged.

Kids aside I think it's better for adults to contribute to Celtic rather than steal from them which is what is fans who sneak in are ultimately doing.

Hmm I couldn't double up inside a turnstile anymore... Too fat. :56:

I'd rather pay anyway. I have a lot of respect for our club, the least I could do is buy my ticket.

ahh, i remember when my dad used to take me through the turnstile with him when i was wee, always wondered if he'd actually bought me a ticket, but never did.

these were the MON days too, and the stewards never bothered

Was about a month before my 18th and my big brother and cousin were feeding me double vodkas before the game and i thought i was a gemy.

Surprised i lasted to half time and only then was cos a went for a pee and the steward saw me fall down the stairs. ended up falling a sleep in a bush outside and only woke up when mcdonald scored and i went to the bus. thank * he did dont imagine spending a night in a bush outside parkhead owuld be a great idea!

I have never done it at a 'major' game, all this jumping the turnstile's as it was is a bit before my time. I do it at Highland League games (but who doesn't?:56:), just jump the wall around the pitch and your in, but then you have to watch the football:56:.

Does anyone remeber crawling under the turnstile?- Pittodrie and Easter Rd were my favourites for that.
Sometimes I even sneaked into the away end doing that- less police about there!
