One of the players who hasn't had a chance yet. Wanyama, Mulgrew or Forrest. We've had so many takers and all are capable of scoring or missing. No-ones going to score everytime but you wouuld expect 4 out of every 5. If Brown had scored today I'd have kept him on but you can't miss two in a row.

It's defo not one of broons strengths! Mulgrew for me too but I would LOVE to see Forster take one for us!!! Maybe if we already seal the points late in a game sometime.

See I would say Mulgrew but I have a phobia of left footers hitting penalties :56:

For that reason it would be Hooper for me. I know he's missed a few for us but he's our most natural finisher and should he miss it will only make him more determined to make amends and he normally does.

I've voted for Chico, who should be our penalty taker and our captain.

Both for similar reasons: he is composed, not easily provoked or rattled, and will start pretty much every game.

None of these things is true of Broony.

I would like to see how Miku copes with penalties, I think he could be the best bet of all - but as of today, he is not a regular starter, so doesn't qualify. That may well change though...

hooper for me! let him hit them and it could add 8-10 goals+ a season something they should take a bit of time to go over in training

Stokes is by far the best penalty taker in the squad for me, he missed a couple and then it get took off of him but at Hibs he was astonishing at them. If he's on the pitch then it should be Stokes.

Never seen Charlie hit a penalty but I don't like left footers hitting penalties, I don't know why I just feel they are easier to read. I don't know what Miku is like either.

Ambrose looks composed as well, so who knows? Who ever does them best in training.

However, Brown’s penalties are dreadful. So predictable, same side every time.

Id’ give the duty back to Commons. Although I’d have no problem with Mulgrew taking them.

It's funny - when Broony was scoring his penalties, he actually got cheered because he was scoring them now he's been unfortunate to miss two in the space of a week he should be taken off them :smiley-laughing002:

If Mulgrew became our regular taker and then missed a couple, I wonder who would become our next regular taker :icon_mrgreen:

Woah woah... He has missed his last 2 penalties. That's not 'unfortunate'. He side foots every single penalty to the right hand side of the goal. It doesn't take a genius in goal to stop a guy who does the same thing every time. He was a bit unlucky with the first penalty he missed but the one he missed today was horrendous.

Woah woah - just to make it clear I'm not putting anyone down with their choice and way of thinking but for me just cos he's missed two penalties in the last week he shouldn't suddenly get dropped from taking them. How many other regular penalty takers have we had down the years that has missed more than Brown yet never got dropped?

You just said yourself that he was unlucky with his first penalty miss (I never saw it so I don't know), so he WAS unfortunate with that one. The one today WAS poor, granted, but one unfortunate miss and one poor one, for me, doesn't justify changing the penalty taker in my opinion.

If he misses his next one THEN drop him from penalty taking :icon_mrgreen:
