Paddy McCourt Going the same way As Riordan

Not in the scumbag sense. Paddy has shown in majority of games what he can do and most of the time chips in with a goal. However this is the 3rd manager which fails to play him on a regular basis. Riordan experienced similar treatment with strachan but with more chances with doing * all. I really hope pat gets a proper run and chance, it must be a kick in the teeth every time hes overlooked. Although i want him to stay, i wouldnt also wouldnt be too disheartened if he got the chance to get regular football at another club, hes the only player bar ronaldo and rooney that excites you when hes in the team sheet

I can't believe the likes of McGinn is ahead of him in the pecking order. He's the most talented player at the club and I'm a very frustrated fan of Paddy's.

As for Riordon. Take him out the Hibs team and the go and win 3-0 at Ipox. Enough said about him.

Mc Court is one of our most over rated players. good skill but he can be too greedy, not team player and not fit enough

to be fair to mc ginn hes actually very talented as well, i didnt think he would make the grade but think im proved wrong. Not saying riordan is a good player, just making the pooint that he was signed and got chances and done * all. Mc court gets chances chips in with a goal or a moment of magic and then never gets a look in for about a month , its also very frustrating when the game is lost or won and lennon brings him on for a few minutes,

Paddy's got talent by the bucket load but if 3 managers have failed to give him a good run then surely that tells you that there's something vital missing from his locker. Lennon loves the guy and he doesn't give him a regular spot.

I think he's brilliant, I love watching him and love it when he runs on at 70 minutes when we need something to happen, but I don't think he's got 90 minutes in him to be honest.

Good player but lacks consistency. I do rate him highly but he will be better serve us as a impact player.

he needs a half an hour every game cos more often than not wen he does come on he always produces. top class but he does go missin wen he tends to start games. better off comin on against tired legs thats when we see the magic :celt_2:

He's got talent, no doubt about that. Scored some cracking goals for us but I think he can be quite greedy with that ball at times and that frustrates me.

you're going to struggle to find a bigger fan of paddy than me ... but i think he knows himself how things stand. there is always talk on this and other forums that he will want to chuck it ... i'm not so sure.
i cant see any bigger side than Celtic coming in for him anytime soon .. so he'd be looking at a step down. and if he goes to a side in the wrong half of their respective table he's going to be the first player sacrificed if they try and park the bus. from memory he's been at rochdale and derry in the past.
he must be aware he is loved by the celtic fans and i think he's a smart enough lad to realise what he is good at and when he is most effective.
when lennon gave him his new contract he said paddy had an important role for the team. that doesn't mean he views him as the guy he relies on a cold wednesday night at tynecastle.
i think he is a really useful guy to have in the squad that is capable of doing things that no-one else can and he's got a good few years of his career left. I think he'll be at celtic for the next few years .... (cue him being sold in january)

Its so frustrating, we are 2-0 down, we need a goal, we need to try something different, so we bring on cha du-ri..... when Mccourt is sat on the bench.

He is my favourite player and the only one that excites me, but tbh, for his sake, I hope he considers moving on to somewhere who would appreciate his talents, unless he starts to get a run of games.

hes not good enough to start every game in my opinion. hes a good impact player. when he started at killie he lost the ball the first 5 times he got it. against the tougher teams rangers etc he did not produce anything when he came on. he could be brillaint but i think he needs to toughen up and work more for the team. james forrest should get his place back soon :D

an impact player is someone who can make an impact in a game, so why does he not get a chance in games like last night were we clearly needed a guy to change the game, he started against ICT first game of season and scored, then against hearts in his next game and also against aberdeen, the only game were he hasnt performed is the rangers game and we were already beaten before he came on. He also was thrown on for the last few mins in europe and posed a threat. The thing that baffles me is that 3 managers have had him and yet he hasnt been a regular, but all the fans can see it, unless its something he doesnt do in training that the likes of samaras does who gets a chance now and again

I just dont think hes up for it enough against tough teams where we are in a real game. i think he is a good player but constantly comes off injured when hes given a chance. i agree he should have came on last night but i think lennon feels he cant produce the same magic against tougher opposition. i think forrest gives us more pace and gets to the byline and creates chances. if paddy isnt gettin past his man he dosent offer much else. Also dont thinks hes fit enough to play every game

People need to get real about `McCourt. So many managers didnt play him despite his talent so its 100% clear that he doesnt have the stamina to be more than a 20 minute impact sub. McGinn has more modest talent but he is an incredible athlete and in the modern game that wins. McCourt is never going to be a regular starter.

A Celtic and Paddy fan I am. But i'd like to see him go.Preferably to the likes of Blackpool where a manager like Ian Holloway would certainly get the best out of him. When you see Sammi starting as a winger ahead of you its time to pack the bags. Its an urban myth about him not being able to last 90 mins.Rather see him every week playing elsewhere than getting splinters in his * watching Samaras con Lenny into thinking he can play football.Nothing i'd rather see than Paddy play regularly for us, but it seems clear that as a winger Sammi, Stokes, Cha,Alan Thompson, Betty from the canteen and Garry Parkers dog are all ahead of him in the pecking order. With a heavy heart I say let him go,and dont deny us the genius if were not going to use it.Free the Derry one.

It's very frustrating to have a player of undoubted talent in your ranks and not get the benefit, it dosen't look as though paddy will ever hold down a first team place, his best option may be to move on.
