think he can make a difference when he comes on he has shown that when he runs at defenders and makes space for himself i think he still has a role at celtic think if mcgeady goes he will have more of a chance to establish himself

if he is to move i would prefer it to be a loan but otherwise keep him

Can leave when he wants. Never going to be a first team regular and aprt from a few moments he is not worthy of being in the first team. His fitness is always going to be a major issue so might as well get a decent wee fee for him the now.

It is a shame as he could have been a grand player.

unless we get a fee that can help us invest in the squad for a striker or centre back, i would keep him, the fans love him and hes entertaining, scores unbelievable goals too

We're not going to get a big enough fee for him to make this deal worthy it would take well over 1.5 Million for me to want to let him go, and noone will pay that for someone who has made as few starts as him. He isn't worth 1.5 Million but his potential is so high, if he can just stay fit or we use him better, i'd want to keep him.

Send him out on loan. He won't make any major impact here this season

would i * let him go!! He is a quality player and stepped up when called upon and and if given a long run in the team he would win the league on his own!! i do agree though that his fitness may be the reason hes not getting a chance, lennon has said on many occassions that he is the most gifted and skillful player hes seen and that in training no one wants to do a one on one with him as hel put them on their hole!

Paddy deserves a decent run in the team and then judge him. His goals havent been tap ins either!!

We should sell. I would take 500K right now for him as he will never be match fit. McCourt is a smoker and he will never be able to last the full ninety minutes unless he quits that habit.

Last thing Celtic need to do is get rid of skilful players.

McCourt has got it, he (and Celtic) just need to work on his stamina and fitness.

Personally, I'd play him behind a front two and not ask him to chase back. He should be in the Lubo role - picking up the ball from 40 yards and causing mayhem.

All too often, Celtic (and other clubs) ask players to do jobs they can't do or are not good at doing. Jock Stein never asked players to do something that they couldn't do - he forged a team based on player's strengths. Lenny should do the same.

It's pretty poor that a footballer, in this day in age, remains a smoker- if true of course. Am not having a go or saying they can't ever, ever do it, it's just such a hinderence

I would be interested to see a list of his appearances and what sensational stuff or goals he has scored every time. He was anonymous against rangers, that's for sure.

He can barely finish a match and so I see him as a super-sub where he can play anywhere up front or down the sides. The 750k is nothing compared to what it might cost to replace him. He's definitely worth another season esp if McGeady goes.

    Agree.

He is 26. How much do you think he can improve? He'll never be a first team regular for a bigger team.

    Agree.

    ---

    IMO £500k isn't much.
He will be good as a super-sub, who can come on a chance the game. I'll look forward to have him on the bench next season, which always makes me feel a little more confident about the game.
