    I’m a proponent of digital collectibles in the form of sports cards and gamification, but you don’t even own this. It’s a lease. And a bit of * (digital) grass.

    I really don’t get it. Worse than NFT mania at its worst and zero utility. People will be stupid enough to buy though.

    But that is quite clear that you don't own it, it's not in small print. It's essentially a gift with a framed certificate. To be honest I'm surprised that they haven't linked it on the Celtic store site. My missus scans that site every Christmas and she's buy it.

    I don't think it's comparable to mygers where an extra cost was added for anybody wanting to be on the ST waiting list.

    So it's cheaper to get yer we lad to invade the pitch, grab a chunk of turf that's been ripped up in a slide tackle, bring it home n plant it in your we plant pot. A true bit of paradise no a scammy photo.

    Should start that as a "bucket list" experience offer. Sure you'd get a few takers.

    If they actually said it was going to the redevelopment of the stadium then could maybe justify it so sell a real patch of that grass for that price, say 6inch square would bring in £9,107,843 for the whole pitch

    I think it would be better as a Christmas fundraiser for the Celtic Foundation. They are saying some of it goes to them, which other teams on there are not doing but I feel it should be any the fee minus the companies deduction and the cost of the frames and postage etc.

    So if im renting a digital patch of grass, are there proviso's attached to the tenancy?

    For instance ; Am i able raise some digital sheep on this digital grass?
    Can I roleplay as a Sevco supporter and shoot at digital black people who trespass on my digital lawn?
    Can i get my tech savvy friend to knock me up a digital Sydney Sweeny, complete with an AI personality, and ram her on my digital grass during the CL music on Wednesday night, as I , the proud owner of a "piece of paradise", furiously *e into a sock from the real world safe space that is my apocalypse bunker?

    These are legitimate questions, and are just as ridiculous as asking a supporter to shell out 50 sheets to RENT a piece of digital * grass.

    Whoever gave the ok to this at CP needs * neutered.

    * shameless they are.

    My concern is that it's clear enough to people that they're actually not buying anything, versus the idea that it's a digital sale of something. Hate to be ageist, but this is the kinda thing I'd imagine older subscribers to Celtic might mistake - like some of my family.

    But let's be clear, £30pa for what seems like a virtual loan, a single (physical?) form of ownership and a £1 donation to the foundation is utter garbage, and it's profiteering of the highest order and lowest denominator...
