Obviously McManus, Hartley, Robson and Maloney all being injured is a simple fact we should just sweep under the carpet.

Yeah well at least the majority of our team still have their own teeth..........McCulloch, Daily, Weir anyone? Sorry joke! :icon_mrgreen:

To be fair we seem to have a definite lack right across the league or perhaps not.......maybe it's a case of Burley being afraid to take a chance on new guys.

As an aside I don't think Scotland can complain with Celtics contribution.......Broony, Maloney (when he's fit), Caldwell and big Mick. Look what playing for Scotland did to poor Kennedy?

We have always given our share which is more than we can say for that other lot! Anyone else think that the huns are just giving the SFA some payback for losing the league last season? Seems to me they haven't been very cooperative in recent times e.g., players playing league games with ongoing injuries but forced to pull out of Scotland games

Aye, it is actually. Scotland can't afford to be losing players with McGeady's talent.

    Caldwell, McManus,
    Brown, Hartley, Robson, Maloney.

A potential without injury to have 6 in the first 11 surely.....

    By * that's poor.:87:

Oh, and Marshall and Miller were allowed to leave the club as they were not good enough to command a first team place (well, in Miller's case he was barely good enough to play for the reserves, but such is the way....)

Also, we tried to get Fletcher which would have been an add-on to the numbers...but that's just tenuous.

    Same with McCarthy.

I dont think i'll enjoy international for the next 15 years because of it. Im so gutted that it really has ruined watching Scotland for me to an extent - I realise im sounding like a big * here but thats how I feel.

I just look at how sh1te the Scotland team is, and imagine having a winger like McGeady in there.

Still, Saturday at 8pm, i'll be watching!

Oh well, at least Gary Teale is back in the squad.

Here hoping the Liverpool coaches were talking * when they said hes better than Gerrard was at that age.

What a midfield Ireland could have in a few years - especially if S.Ireland crawls back.

If we could kindly disembark from the standard McGeady / McCarthy tittle tattle, that would be spiffing.

Of course McCarthy is not *, but additionally he is not in either squad so has nothing to do with this thread. Please keep on topic.

Maloney, Ronson, Brown, Hartley, Mick, Gary and even maybe Wilson would have all played there part if 100% fit. We are well represented. Six or so is not bad for one team, especially one with a good few foreigners. When everyone is fit Celtic is probably been the best represented team in the Scotland side over the last 10 or 15 years and well generally represented for the last 40 years. A Scotland side full of Celtic players makes me a happy bunny although at the end of the day its not about clubs.
