Starting to get a bit of deja vu.. was very confident we'd spend this summer but that confidence is starting to drain from me

We just need to be ruthless now if we are going to move up a level.

Hart, Siegrist, Yuki, Scales, Welsh, Bernabei, McCarthy, Haksabanovic, Johnston, Ajeti can all go.

If you put a frog in boiling water it will hop right out.
If you put a frog in cold water, and turn the heat up, the dozy * will boil to death.

Comparitively, if someone told you two months ago that by the time the season kicked off, we will have lost Jota, Mooy, Starfelt, with no similar quality replacements in, the positions of LB, GK, and DM still not addressed, and that we'd only signed a clutch of projects and one decent CB cover... People would have an absolute * fit.

    The water is boiling.

As time rolls on, this is becoming true sadly. I'm on to hope now. Hope we get GK, LB and LW in. Dropped the want for a CM but, if Reo goes them absolutely we need another. Not even included getting another CB in to replace Starfelt yet either. Whilst there's time, have to believe we will sort a few of these issues out. But we are leaving it late. Loved to be proved wrong and it's all coming together in the background.

It is inevitable we either don’t properly fill all those roles or buy a cheap punt for one or two of them.

I have been saying this for a while we have left so many positions we need to fill for too long and now Starfelt being for the off and if Hatate follows we have added another two.

We have at least made some progress on moving out deadwood and hearing of interest in the others, fingers crossed we get done what we need to there.

Think we're all getting a bit frustrated but the recruitment has been excellent since Nicholson has been at the helm, so it's not the same * every year..

We do need to get a move on tho.

I think the reason it's looked better recently as we have been shopping in a market not many others look at with players desperate to move to Europe on what for us is not a huge wage.

Now we are shopping in the other market for our statement signings it means higher fees and wages and it's very much back to the same old crap.

We'll continue to look in every market available to us, Rodgers has praised the recruitment set up we have now since his last time here. Its not just looked better it has been better under Nicholson..

We do need to get a move on though, don't really want to leave it until the last week/day like we did with CCV, Jota and Giakoumakis in 2021..would love that type of quality though and it shows we can get deals over the line from bigger/better leagues, 'statement signings'.

I'll keep harping on about it but unless we address the midfield we're not doing anything again this season.

    Our CL stats last year:

Our midfielders only won 5 tackles between them the whole campaign. O'Riley at least attempted many and had a good amount of ball recoveries but his success rate was poor.

McGregor's stats hold up alright considering he only played 3 games. But I'd still be expecting my DM to attempt more.

Hatate and Mooy's defensive stats are absolutely shocking though. Hatate lost all 5 of his attempted tackles from 6 games! Mooy didn't even try to tackle anyone in all of his appearances which is even worse.

24 days till the window shuts I think and I was expecting when Rogers came back we get in four 5 million plus players and with Jota and Starfelt going I'm expecting a bit more now at least 5 new quality signings or I am going to be severely * off .

Agreed. Been saying for years we’re still missing physicality in that midfield

Feels like we are back to our old signing strategy. It’s obvious we need a better Lb, Gk and a replacement for Jota should have been in place before we let him go.
Momentum feels as if it’s completely slowed.

Need to call a spade a spade the window has been * *. Thankfully the huns look * but it shouldn't have had any bearing on what we were going to do.

It's incredibly frustrating to watch us never build from a position of strength time and time again

I honestly think now we will sign 1 or 2 players and nothing to get excited about. Treating the fans like arseholes again. We will keep pumping money into the club tho.

This board won't get another penny from me unless serious investment is made in next few weeks.

"promised" signings after the RC game.

Linked with 2 man city loans and a * Souptar.

Looks like it's back to * about, scraping the EPL barrell again, hoping to Christ they're actual quality.

At this point, I'd seriously understand anyone who believes Peter * Lawell is back pulling the transfer strings again.

The most disappointing window in YEARS. Not the worst, but definitely the most disappointing.

*Quietly waits for someone to tell him "calm doon/ plenty of time left/ we do our business under the radar/ we got Jota and CCV in late."

Said earlier but the majority vanish the minute things go good, there's a few clogging this thread that were completely missing during the title celebrations.

At the same time I do hope we get a move on now, would like at least 2 signings in before the St Johnstone game, preferably 3.
