We have no options at the moment, don’t say play the young boy. If we played the young boy instead of either of them and got spanked, can you imagine the even greater fallout. Bitton’s better than Duffy.

which begs the question why have no other options,i'll tell you because somebody thinks bitton can play there and we didnt need to buy another one ,he gets caught out all the time he aint a cb .if welsh cant get a game at cb ahead of a midfielder i dont think he has much of a chance

Biton irrespective of what he says about being fit is still recovering from a debilitating virus. It knocks the stuffing out of you and he could take some time before really being back to normal. I hate these knee * responses to a couple of poor performances. He had been doing a fairly decent job for us in that role before this happened. He's not the answer I agree but you can't fault his commitment.

Instant improve on Duffy and remember he is still recovering from Covid. His passing and pace already make him a lot better.

His passing with either foot out the back is really good..

I'll be brutally honest. I think he's overrated as a centre half..

Gets beat in the air too much. Gets beat by pace far too often when pulled out wide..

Jullien and Ajer is our number 1 partnership..

No harm to Bitton but he's a centre mid who has been brought back because of his lack of mobility on and off the ball in midfield..

His passing from the back helped us today. He switches the play instead of passing to his partner all the time and he's good at it. I think his composure in general helps us as he doesn't panic, but he lost an awful lot of challenges in the air that could have caused us more problems on another day.

He has done reasonably well lately, for a shoehorned Center half.
For a big lad, he is crap in the air.

We have 4 recognised CB’s for 2 positions, unfortunately for us the one everyone on here had me believing was the messiah has turned out to be a donkey. We also have a further 2 that can play CB very comfortably in the SPFL.

I am a big fan of Bitton mainly because of his heart and love and respect for the club. That being said it is admirable what he has done at CB but he really shouldn't have to play that position.

Not good news if that is true above about positive COVID tests in the Israel squad.

On Bitton as a CB, I don’t mind it against teams we dominate as it gives us someone good on the ball back there particularly as part of a three.

However he lacks the physicality and tackling ability required when a game is competitive, he gets beat in the air all the time and constantly stands off players, one of the reasons he isn’t a high quality defensive midfielder and is being used as a back up CB.

I also question his heart ever since that semi final against them when he was wanting off when we had no subs left then the next thing he’s running about.

As a player overall he’s good on the ball and has great composure, off the ball he’s like a man down.

He will be a great backup option to Duffy Ajer and Jullien

I appreciate playing for your country must be a huge honour but given the current situation we are in and how we got stung with COVID cases during the last international games, I would have preferred our players to put club before country this time around.

Elhamed and Bitton in particular have just got fit again. I really hope not but it wouldn’t be a surprise if one of them picked up a knock. It’s just our luck.

For ordinary SPL games where we expect to be on top, I honestly think he and Ajer will terrify teams. They can both bring it out from the back, they can both beat a man and they can both cut teams open with a pass. I don't think SPL teams can live with that if we do it properly.

Obviously for the Huns and Europe, I'd play Julien all day long.

Missed the Israel Scotland game but apparently he was a standout.
Who's played CB longer? Bitton or Ajer?

My only concern about him playing CB is he tends to lose concentration and become a bit casual with his passing when he’s playing well. Needs to stay switched on for the full 90.

He ain't a * cb at fault for a goal today again ! If Duffy or anybody else was caught out as often as he is they would be getting loads of stick ,why the * is he playing out of position when there is a young player in desperate need of games and if Welsh ain't good enough why the * wasn't another one signed

Never even spotted.it was him. Sleeping for. Pk, absolute howler performance, stupid foul, sleeping for. Pk. And sleeping for Nesbit goal.

Aye to fill. In, but he's not a. Cb.

Not commanding enough, aye maybe in a 3 he can. Dictate play but in a 4, too many flaws.
