I'm a critic of Israel but I think he's in a very difficult position. Don't think it's right to go after him and his family on a personal level either.

I really can't see where he can force his way into our team.. midfield he has no chance and we all know he aint a defender so i personally think he should be offloaded... just more bloat in our squad,, we need more quality & less quantity.

Nobody cares about his nationality or religion.. and trolling his wife is out of order.

Thing is we have all said this about others only to be proved wrong ,he is a very good player who needs a run in the team again to find out if he has a place here .

I find it laughable that the guys who are constantly on his back probably couldn't even pick Israel or Palestine out on map. The jump the bandwagon brigade. Uneducated delinquents in our support attacking him or his family for his background AND beliefs is out of order. He's proud of his nation, he is entitled to his beliefs.
We are a club welcome to all, judge him on his football.

thing is he's not actually * as a center mid. Good range of passing and controls a game.

we've just gone up a few levels with Ntcham plus Rogic and McGregor turning into beasts and Broony better than ever.

as for all the political stuff, if he'd refused his idf service he'd be sat in jail to this day as a traitor and we'd never have heard of him. some fans expect him to post * Netanyahu and take up arms against his family and countrymen?

Would he also have been put in prison and if he hadn't made the conscious choice over the last few years while he was living in Scotland to tweet his support for the IDF and their murder of civilians ?

if he had tweeted any criticism at all of his nation or army I guarantee hed be in trouble back home. Mossad dont * about what do you honestly want him to do?

you're judging him by our perfect leftwing ideals and ignoring context. Idf are scum to Palestinians, heroes to israeli jews. Ira are scum to many brits, heroes to many irish. Vice versa and so on.

why did say Commons or Brown not get slagged for refusing to condemn british army atrocities?
ive seen Brendan wear a poppy before, kick him out?
di canio was literally a * ffs, only got sold when we got a decent offer nothing to do with his politics.

1 He doesn't have to post anything

2 Doesn't matter what he posts Mossad ain't going to do * all to him!

3 I don't need the likes of you attempting to tell me how I am judging him.

4 It is you that are tragically failing to put this into context. What do Poppies have to do with anything ?

That phrase is a platitude at this point.

“Welcome to Celtic, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Please, judge him on his football.”

they would if they were conscripted, whilst I oppose Israeli actions I don't think its fair on the only Israeli on our team to receive abuse based on the fact he completed mandatory national service in the IDF.

Hes a very good centre back backup option for Scotland when we have time to build from the back, he's also not the worst player to bring on and slow down the game in the last 20 minutes in cm, Id keep him for the bench

Last warning that will be going in here.

Stop the political chat and get onto his football. I realise some are trying to but I have already put a warning in here yesterday and its been ignored.

There's now a thread in the H&P section related to this, take it there, or temporary bans will be given.

Aye, I genuinely couldn't tell you the last game he dominated..

In fact he was that slow paced and getting waltzed by, that he had to be taken out of midfield..

Did a reasonable job as an emergency centre back at the beginning of the season.

He did very well against Man City in the 3-3 game too. So he can definitely cut it at a good level. He's not a bad player.

He’s a player I like, some very good qualities, always thought it was his lack of defensive responsibility that let him down in midfield (much like Ki before him). His stint in defence might have helped that a * of a lot.
