    Same.

He scored 21 goals and assisted 15 last season. Fans are letting their personal opinion of him cloud their judgement.

Should be rinsing clubs for whatever they can pay no rolling over at that. 4 years on his deal.

    Yep. 15 is too light..

He was performing in the champions league. Had great numbers domestically, think he had the best numbers of any player outside the big leagues at that point? Was clocking some of the fastest kilometres in the champions league, only Hakimi and a few others were ahead. Standout performancs at that level. Had excellent workrate defensively as well when he was at it..

We'd be getting well stung at 15..

Yep. His record/goals and performances in the UCL ( against Bundesliga teams especially ) , plus his general stats (36 goal involvements) from the wing , his age , length left on contract etc would make 15 be a bit of a pants pulled down moment for us.

Bundesliga clubs have to have 12 German players registered in their first team squad , 8 "trained locally/within academy" , and another four minimum trained within Germany , which adds a premium on German teams buying German players from abroad.

Plenty of reasons we should be looking for 20.

20 should be the absolute minimum.

RB have a history of paying that and more for players theyve seen in the flesh as opposition, usually from other Bundesliga sides.

Add in the Bundesliga rules for German players, add in his youth and experience et al.

    20m.

Although I'd say we'll see one of those "16.43m rising to 20.21m after 60 appearances with a 15% sell on fee" jobs.

He was excellent for large chunks of last season but he’s been here for a season and a half and he’s been dog * for 2/3rds of that time. 15-20m would be fine by me tbh.

15M for a player who done as well as he did in the CL last season, who can still improve and still has 4 years left on his deal is an absolute pisstake tbh.

For me he seemed to down tools after our CL exit..

As if he feels he's too good for us, petulant, pulling out of 50/50s etc face tripping him.

His ability isn't in doubt his attitude definitely is, which can affect his price.

Either way £15m would be *. Leipzig spend £20m plus on 5 players a season.

I think a lot of our team struggled once we were out of the CL as the title was pretty much won in December. I don't think attitude is really an issue.

What do you mean by struggled then @Westlondonscot? Surely that is an issue?

Question is broader than Kuhn, although he was the most obvious dip by far I think Hatate for instance got better, so can't have affected everyone.

We've had half a season out him in 2..

£15m is probably on the low side, but if he goes fir that so be it.. sick of looking at his petulant face and shooshing the crowd antics, whilst clinching the league..

His attitude is *, that's no even a debate

They struggled to get motivated. I think we saw it in the games against the huns. Plenty of other games where the team were not fighting til the end to guarantee that win. Some players react well with the need to succeed, and by December they pretty much had done.

That's not really acceptable though is it? So seems fair criticism.

If it's struggling for confidence like Engels I don't have an issue but any player who's not motivated for no real reason we absolutely need to move them on regardless of price. Just plain unprofessional. We've seen the effect before.

Would think his goals in the CL would have bumped his price up a bit more, but if it's £15m with a sell on % then it's still good business considering we brought him in for £3m(?)..

Nygren looks to be an ample replacement and still time to bring someone else in. If he doesn't want to be here then get him sold.

Luckily the club don't share that view of selling regardless of the price though. That isn't how we should be operating.

Again I come back to fans letting their view of him as a person cloud their judgement. The goals he scored against Bayern and Leipzig added about £5m to his price tag alone. I'd have wanted £15m minimum before those.

£20m is fair in this modern era.

Was never the same player after Jota received the adulation on his return.

Coincidence??...maybe but whatever he had in drive determination and ability has been absent since.

Whatever it is...we can't have players that are erratic in form even when they are world beaters when on it.

Inconsistent.... 15m with a sell on clause would be good business.

I don't think Nygren is the replacement. In terms of cutting in on his left etc that's about where the comparisons stop.

Pace wise they look on two different levels. I'm hoping Nygren is in as a midfielder/option to play on the wing if required and we sign two new right wingers. Along with one for the left.
