    Ok, in a few weeks I'm going for a weekend in Newcastle with the barmaid from the pub I drink in, my mate and two of her pals. After looking at train prices I'm going to drive usdown in the new car my dad bought me which is a citroen ds3 sport. But what is the easiest way to go from Glasgow?
    1.To head down the M74 towards Carlisle and then at the roundabout take the exit for Newcastle?
    2. To head along the M8 towards Edinburgh and at the City of Edinburgh Bypass head down the A68 towards Berwick upon Tweed?
    Google maps/ directions is telling me to take the second route but I wasen't sure what would be quicker. If I put my foot down and press the sports button, would it be unreasonable to think we could do it in less than 3 hours?
    Also, is Newcastle easy to get parked in? And could anyone recommend any good pubs or clubs? cheers

    Even though your in SCUM city I hope you have a good night mate, if you fail with your Barmaid then go for Mag ladies, anything with a pulse they'll ride you like a Blackpool Donkey, just make sure you tell them about Kevin Phillips and to ask there Grandad's when they last won a cup.
