    Need a wee portable lappy ASAP
    so delivery is out of the question really.
    been on tesco (I get 10% discount there) etc any they have two that appeal to me
    one has 1 ghz and 2gig ram
    one has 1.6 ghz and 1 gig ram
    what's more important ? ghz or ram?

    theree times I've tried to write this thread out lol laptop keeps cutting out when I ask it to load the direct links to the netbooks :97:

    If you use the old laptop for web, email, videos, songs, microsoft office mainly you could think about installing Joli OS http://www.jolicloud.com/jolios/download
    Set as dual boot with windows.
    Joli is a lightweight linux OS where installation and use does not require any linux knowledge. Just download and run the installation file.
    I've done this on a couple of laptops and they both now work like new.
    If you don't like it you can always uninstall and you'll be where you were before.

    Hi, it's not that this is a bad lap top it's just *. fan doesn't work on it so when it gets warm it just cuts out, I dropped it
    plus a netbook is much more handy for travel
