Asked the question on the del piero thread, so thought i would stick it here sorry if there has been a thread before.
So who do yous think were the most high profile of our signings? by that i mean shirt sellers not the most controversial like the man that shall not be named :38:
    Mines would be
Roy Keane (Won almost everything in football)
Di Canio (Followed him a lot when watching chanel 4 on a sunday afternoon)
Graveson (Played great for madrid, then ran about like a headless chicken for us)

Ive probably missed a really obvious one but not really thought about it until now

Juninho was pretty big at the time as well.

Roy Keane is the biggest, so far.

Del Piero would possibly eclipse him.

Robbie Keane I would have said in my life time anyways.

Oh and Roy, more to do with the controversy with the situation between him and United.

Robbie Keane, Roy Keane, Naka [if your from Japan].

All bought for fitba top sales, but Naka came at the right time and we got the best of him, the others, well they just came so they could tick a wee box saying they played for celtic after making millions down south.

No, he didn't. He scored 3 goals in near 40 games after Chelsea paid 10 million for him.

Bollocks. Never won a thing before joining him. How was he a bigger signing than Roy Keane, who captained the biggest club in the world during their best period?
