the father of the 3 year old lad who was hit on the head with a brick on saturday has sent me an email saying he tried to join TC unsuccessfully, just to let everyone know how his son was doing. so on his behalf:

his son is doing fine, went to hospital to get 7 stitches.
also he does not blame celtic and thinks the fans were outstanding, just the minority of idiots who gave the rest of us a bad name.

let's hope he gets better soon eh! :50:

If what you say is true, then that is good of him, not to judge the rest of us, by the actions of a few.

We have a small minority of idiots who seek only violence at football matches. It is unfortunate that these idiots are usually the ones in the spotlight. Their the kind of people who claim that we are the 'best fans in the world' while beating up a defenceless person.

Glad to hear he is on the mend.

Whoever thought it was ok to throw bricks when there is 3 year old children present should have a long, hard look at themselves. They are mindless idiots, not Celtic fans.

I absolutely can't stand those kind of idiots. Every club has them and they put a very dark cloud over the true fans.

Hope the little guy recovers fast and that this sort of thing stops.

Hi Thanks for sorting my account out.

First I would just like to say a massive thank you to all Celtic fans who have sent kind messages about my son. We really apreciate it.

On saturday after the game we were walking towards the ASDA carpark when the trouble broke out. Bottles and large stones were thrown from both sets of fans. We were caught right in the middle.

We made a dash for it and as we left the gate another group of young celtic "fans" threw more stones at us. One of the stones hit my three year old son right on top of his head. The stone was the size of half a house brick maybe a little smaller

His head was cut open and we had to take him to hospital where he had seven paper stitches. He was released from hospital later that night

He is totaly fine , but shaken from what happened.

There has been alot of discussion around all footy forums about what happened to my son, some of it has been twisted as second hand news often does. Thats why I came on here to tell you what really happened,

In no way do I blame Celtic fans for this. The people who did this are not football fans and im sure you will agree that they do not represent the real fans of Celtic FC.

The support from you lot on saturday was outstanding. I had good banter with every Celtic fan I met.

It was just a shame that the Drunk kids outside had to ruin the day.

you are welcome back to Manchester anytime.

We have been offered visit Celtic FC as guests and we will be doing this . . cant wait.

Good luck to celtic this season

    Andy

hope ur bhoy makes a recovery

:31: how embarrassing for the Celtic fans- news like this makes us look like hooligans when in fact its just a small minority who aren't real football fans. Whoever did that should be deeply ashamed, hope the wee boy's alright! have fun at the vip game you come and see! Hail Hail :celt_2::shamrock:
