McGreedy?

Anyone else think if Mcgeady was a little less greedy it would improve him massively ..
He never likes the short ball and it's always all or nothing with him.
Still one of my favourite players, this is just constructive criticism.

 

i agree he frustrates me so much its always one player too many

 

He was never meant to be a winger, he was meant to be behind the strikers. Wingers get half a yard and cross it in, thats not what his strongest point is

 

Exactly what Ladbroke said, Only reason he is a winder is because of his blistering pace. He hammered rangers in the CIS Cup Final whilst playing behind the forwards

 

He makes me furious at times but if u had that much talent would u want to pass it

 

Beats a player and goes back to try and try and beat him again !
Would be a much better player if played more advanced

 

He is by far our most dangerous player and probably the only player other teams genuinely fear. I think we should play him up front. The only time we caused Rangers any problems last season was the final with him up top. He can create for himself unlike any of our other strikers. Should look at getting another left mid/right mid (Wilshere/Traore on loan!!) and play McGeady up front

 

Still mate he's a footballer. If he had half a footballers brain he would realise to pass the ball about when running low on options instead of trying to do anything himself. Doesnt matter if he is playing the wings or behind the strikers. I guess/hope this gets sorted out as he matures and gains more experience. Learn when to pass the ball and learn when to take players on.

 

i agree mate, the amount of times he has a pass on and decides not to take it and loses the ball or he passes too late is ridiculous.

but who else have we got? everyone else so far has shown they are good enuf imo, and i think mowbray sees mccourt as a centre midfilder so he wont replace mcgeady.

 

To be honest i think there is quite a bit he can improve on
Firstly with him being a winger his crossing needs alot of work on as i feel his final ball is shocking at times. Knowing when to pass the ball has to be the most frustrating as the amount of times he beats a man & should cross early or pass it & decides to wait on his opponent to get back sohe can beat him again or trys taken on 2 more to men & loses it drives me crazy

 

his shooting aswell, and his vision he doesnt know wots going on around him. he misses players making good runs all the time. either that or he just wants to do it all on his own

I like Aiden too but I am disappointed with his lack of progress. He should
be burning up the track by now, and bursting the net with goals.

It is an area of concern to me

 

he needs to get the finger out and stop trying to beat to many men for a start!
whenever he loses the ball he * moans and it does ma * in big time!his crossing and shooting atributes his shocking and must get that sorted out asap.....apart from that he`s a good player:icon_mrgreen:

 

He is the only player in the Spl that has 2/3 players on him everytime he touches the ball.
How can he get down the line without taking on 2/3 men?
He has been playing on the left and is being asked to cross with his weaker foot.

As for his shooting ,well ,em,em I have to agree, it is pish.

 

he should just watch maloney in training, he would learn a thing or 2

 

Its his decision making that leaves a lot to be desired at times knowing when to cross and when to pass and when to shoot etc and if he could get his head up it maybe improve his game a lot

 

aye hes no the best. he really needs to sort his all round game out. his movement off the ball is particularly poor and he always wants the ball to feet with intention of taking on his opponent. Going past your opponent is aright against spl sides but in europe too often mcgeady cant pull it off

 

He should watch Mizuno in training, and get some team spirit drilled into him. Currently, he's pish.

 

The bottom line is I feel his talents are close control and beating a man, he frustrates in a wide position because he cant deliver a dangerous ball without taking too long, he must be tried in an area where he can hurt the opposition more.
