Can't disagree with that, we can have a problem when they fabricate bullshit but this is of our own doing this time.

Mcgeady is a good player but he hashad an arogant "streak" all his life, they used to have discipline problems with him in the youth team, however, we missed him in the ECL, Strachan should have played him on match day one against Alburg

  5. I think the Mcgeady Strachan relationship is over. Mcgeady needs to go in January if he is so unhappy.

I beg to differ. Strachan needs to go in january if he is so unhappy.

I dont agree with the actions of the board and managment because of the current state of the sqaud regarding injuries,,whos to say this debacle wouldnt have inspired mcgeady into top form.

I'd rather we play him to see what kind of response was triggered,,after all he is one of our best players.

I think this goes back to when Strachan called McGeady a traitor for choosing Ireland before Scotland and this was before WGS came to Celtic...i dont think McGeady has forgotten about that and thats why they have probably never got on.

Then when WGS starts having a pop at McGeady he cant keep his mouth shut.

celtic is bigger than one player, if mcgeady doesn't want to play here anymore then i think he should just leave, we'll get it over it in time.

    hail hail

If it's for a breach in club rules then McGeady should take his punishment like a man and then get on with his job. No player is bigger than Celtic.

there is no way mcgeady said he is bigger than celtic. He is born and raised a Celt through and through and Strachan the wee * can GTF

mcgeady is a good player, but he shud learn to keep his gob shut, he was mince on sat as were others, im sure he wasnt the only one to get a bit of stick from wgs. if hes insulted strachan thats out of order imo, it takes a bigger man to get his head down and work hard and listen to the criticism, i hope aiden stays and just takes it on the chin, but some how i doubt it. no player is bigger than the clu anyhow.

Give it a rest mate, seriously

I'd love to be shown the quote where he said it to begin with but either way it's a false statement and everyone is fully aware of the reasons why.

Lets see how much of a man mcgeady is ,the next couple of days he will be all over the papers ,everyone getting there tuppence worth etc ,if he comes out and starts blabbing he is off in january ,if he loves his job ,he should belt up and take his punishment like a man and get back to playing the way we know he can i think its up to him ,unless celtic have made there own minds up .

I seriously resent that last comment. How dare you choose anyones nationailty? It does not naturally follow that your birth country is the team you should play international football for. I watched Aiden hone his young skills in an ireland jersey a a kid at home obviously proud of his background and heritage in true celtic tradition. Granted, being brought up in Glasgow and as a naturalised Scot gives him opportununity and choice but if he chooses to remain true to the land of his forefathers - and with all the sectarian bile that ensues from a so-called modern and secular society - then that enriches his choice in my opinion.

SAF has bent the rules when it suited it him, or when the player was too important.

Bryan Robson's drinking was tolerated while the likes of McGrath were shown the door for the same behaviour.

Cantona assaulted a supporter and SAF stood by him.

Keane, as others have suggested, is another example.

The point is, while rules and discipline are important, any decent manager will use a bit of pragmatism in deciding the punishment.
