But i have just sent off a price request to paddy power for us to win the champions league next year, with the view of sticking £50 on it.
This squad just fills me with so much believe and excitement that I think anything is possible.
However this is as long as we get a new number 1 and a new centre back. Other than that i think we are really going to be a force to be beckoned with next year, and hopefully we can have another "seville" run!!!

I like your optimism. I don't subscribe to the fact that we can win it but I have no doubt semi finals or quarter finals are definitely feasible. But remember Porto and Monaco got to the final so why not a ridiculously talented Celtic team? this depends on two factors. Izaguirre and Kayal staying, I think Kayal does want to stay but Izzy hasn't stated anything yet regarding his future so we'll wait and see. A new striker is a must, as is a CB so we'll wait and see. The future is bright, the future is green and oh so very white. Hail Hail.

I wouldnt mind getting a long run in the Europa League.

Greece in the euros, us in 67, liverpool in 2005, Birmingham with the league cup, Portsmouth and the fa cup, Porto in champs league, Blackburn with the premier league, Denmark with the euros, galatasary with the uefa cup in 2000, huns to the final, and of course our own experience with bratislava/Clyde/ICT/Basel. The list goes on and on of shocks, and when parkhead is rocking, its one of the most explosive atmoshperes in football which other teams fear. You just never know HAIL HAIL

I admire your confidence and all, but to even suggest we could win the CL is completely absurd. Even with another couple of decent strikers and a CB, the best we could do at this moment in time is maybe the Europa League and that might even be a push. Winning the EL would not be out of reach (maybe next season or the season after) and would be a major accomplishment, but the CL is just asking too much.

Bearing in mind we'd need to hold on to all of our top players (Kayal, Izzy) and successfully ward off the vultures from England, whilst adding to our squad at the same time.

 

Come back to earth man, we lost to Motherwell on Sunday But good on ya, we definitely look like a side who can win the 'big' games unlike last season, I'm really excited for Europe next year, who knows how far we'll go!
