    naylor
    caldwell
    donati
    brown
    nakamura
    vennegoor

we need players that can step up to the plate! for me we need a new centre hawf, al be delighted with 2 but 1 is essential. ther is near enough 8 mill running about in the centre of mid (donati and brown). both of them are just not producing. surely money like that could have been spent more wisely. if this celtic team is to go forward... the midfield has to be worked on! up front... we need pace! teams can sit further up field against us, and they kno they wont be found out by the pace our strikers have! wgs has to work on new dimensions of the team. we are far 2 predicatble. take mcgeady and naka out and wer will the goals come from

we need to lose some dead wood but i wouldn't go as far as to say we need a mass clear out. get rid of the manager first

IMO we are a CB and LB away from being a very good side. The thing is I don't think we have the manager to get the best out of them.Strachan seems to have the effect of turning good players into average ones.

I would get rid of Balde,Pressley, and Killen in the summer but that's about it.

Isn't Bobos contract almost up? Pressley was on his last season anyway and will most likely be involved with the Scotland set up. I'm not so sure about Killen........has he really been given a chance? How much has Strachen affected his confidence? We just have to look at the rest of the team to see that they're obviously not playing up to scratch either.

    OUT:

Strachen: Has yet to convince me that he's a great manager
Caldwell: Not up to the standard required
Naylor: Not up to the standard required.. tends to brick it in big games
Donati: Not up to the standard required.. tends to brick it in big games
Sno: Not up to the standard required
    Hesselink: Not consistant enough

Don't agree we need a mass clearout at all we just need the current squad restructured into a more potent force. All our play is in the middle of the park, we're neither defensive nor attacking we're just a passing team with Aiden the only source of penetration unless we hit the occasional long ball.

A clear out is most definately required. None of the strikers are good enough, and yes that means McDonald. He is murder in the big games and plays like a fan, trying to score with every touch instead of getting his head up looking for a pass.

I'd be playing Samaras and Riordan up front from now on.

Oh and McManus has to go. This guy is nowhere near good enought to play for Celtic, let alone be a captain. This is the decision that WGS is now bitterly regretting, it has been the beginning of the end of his Celtic career since he made it.

Yeah I agree McManus shouldn't be captain but who is up to the job?

I wouldn't get rid of McDonald as he's done so well for us and with a little direction he will improve.

I agree that Samaras and Riordan might make a good pairing.

Samaras needs to play with a big man to be fully effective IMO.

For my money, the captain should be one of the top players, even if not the best player. He should be consistent and vociferous in both encouragement and rollocking the rest of the team.
In our current squad, there is only one man who meets this criteria, and his name is Artur Boruc.

Problem is, I think he is just a bit mad!

That's bullshit whatever way you look at it, goals to games paints a very different picture. I'm not ecstatic about his current form either but it was to be expected imo after the amount of effort he gives all the time.

    Caldwell - Awful!
    Naylor - Awful!
Hinkel - Hot and cold so far but needs time
    Donati - Gravesen MK II
Brown - Should be played as an attacking central midfield with 2 defensive midfielders behind him
Naka - Luxury! player of the season last year because every other team was terrible! against rangers this year he wont stand a chance!
    VOH - Not good enough!
Aiden - Cant do it himself!
Strachan - Get rid now! He's arrogant and blind! not good enough for Celtic!
Killen - Are you having a laugh!!
Samaras - must be wondering what he's let himself in for!

Goals to games? The perfect example of this not being the sole reason for whether a player is good or not is Boyd at the Huns.

Three managers in a row have consistently not started him, despite him having by far and away the highest rate in the entire country.

Sometimes you have to think outside the box.

jeez we played well in both games against aberden and were unlucky to go out and sometimes you just gotta accept ur lucks not in . all credit to aberdeen for taking their only chance . I would be worried if we where playing badly but we are playing well still but not egtting the luck in front of goal but everyone goes through it . people dont become bad players after a few games and a couple of defeats or draws dont spell the end and both teams will drop points between now and the end of the season

I'm absolutely astonished that you consider last night's performance as playing well. It was one of the worst games of football I've seen recently.

Wot planet do some of you guys live on. Fair enuf people can have a difference of opinion, but come on.

Get rid of McDonald??? You should stop amoking that stuff rite now as I think ur brain will melt and come out of your ears. So you are going to drop our top goalscorer and play

Samaras - has looked not too bad in recent games but is still to find his feet me thinks

Riordan - this takes the biscuit. He aint got it. What has he done to merit a place. Fair enuf peepz will say that he hasnt had a chance, but neither have I and I am not expecting to start any time soon.

As for the comment about thinking outside the box? What box? The penalty box? We have players who can do it outside the box, we need a scorer. Mcdonald is yur man. He is just hitting a ruf patch. Every player does. Even the great one did when he was here.

If you were meaning in the hypothetical sense and we need new ideas, Riordan doesnt offer those ideas. It has been proved. To answer your question why have 3 bosses not consistantly played Boyd its because he is a goalscorer. Full Stop. Doesnt offer much else, but does he need to in the Scottish game. He won the cup for them at the weekend. McDonald will have won the league for us if we do go on to win it.

Last nite Donati was our best midfielder. Brown wasnt up to scratch and hasnt been recently. After the Barcelona game at Parkhead the whole team has went flat. These things happen unfortunatley.

The cries for Strachan to go are annoying me now. Fair enuf he has a bad result last nite, but its football. The players that he picked last nite should be capable of beating Aberdeen. They didnt. If we won every game then we would end up being a support full of expecting to win every game and not getting behind the team because they shouldnt really need it at Parkhead. We would sit on our hands unless its a European game and moan at every bad pass or bad perormance.

Oh *, this is actually happening...

the only guys i would even consider getting rid of would be.....
Caldwell - no pace , no strenth, no hope in * of becoming a good enough player for Celtic!
Donati - I don't know what to say here! he comes from AC! costs 3 mil! and cant pass a ball to save himself! no heart!
JVOH!! - this is a must! he might have only cost a coupl of mil...but for fek sake! my gran is faster and more mobile! and could finish the chances he's blown! he's the most useless striker at celtic i've seen in ages!!! couldn't lase the boots of sutton or hartson! he couldnt even spell Larsson!
Naylor - just doesn't have the strenth or pace for a LB! good first season but has went downhill from there! Get these guys tae fek!!!

these guys that are just a bit off ther game and no-way! could we do without! -

brown - will become a celtic great if he has the right guidence!Lennon would have been a great mentor for him!
mcdonald - no way we can do without his workrate and finishing! a great signing!!
big mick! - a bit of an enigma here! was amazing when not captain... just needs the presure taken off him at times, doesnt help when he's partnered with a * like Caldwell!
and the wonder that is McGeady!!what can i say... just class!
the holy goalie is the best i've seen at cp for years!

the rest are all good squad members to have!
