Usual pish from Levein, Wilson and Mulgrew both had sensational seasons last year and Wilson is now our Vice-Captain but miss out in the squad

I think international experience would help Mulgrew improve aswell.

Are you lads happy with Levein as manager because putting someone like Stephen Crainey and Phil Bardsley in before Mulgrew and Wilson seems a bit * up?

Not surprising really. Celtic players always get over-looked unless they they have been around the squad for a while.
I feel sorry for Wilson coz I think he deserves his chance, plus he can play left or right back. Mulgrew on the other hand has been playing centre half and maybe Levien wants a more natural cb, even if it is Caldwell.
    Keeps them fresh for Celtic.

Not too bothered, means less chance of them picking up injuries

Wilson is the best right back in scotland, and Scotland have no quality central defenders which Mulgrew is looking to become. Makes no sence to leave them out

If we are no careful, we will lose Mulgrew to the States. Don't see this as being unrealistic considering Mo Edu gets a game!

Not bothered, means they will be fitter and fresher for us, which is way more important than the scotland national team

Really? Whittaker is on 25k a week, and izaguirre and commons would tear him apart most games vs the shame. Also his fault for the Malmo goal, he is so over rated its stupid

    Not bothered.

Though what is interesting is the degree of the esteem that Mulgrew, & Wilson to a lesser extent, is held by the Celtic fans. Mark Wilson has had his injury concerns but was always a very sound defender. Last season saw him add another string to his bow, showing he can go forward effectively.

Mulgrew on the other hand... This time 12 months ago, many people were wondering what Lenny was doing, bringing him back to Celtic & now they are wondering why he isn't being picked for Scotland. Talk about coming a long way.

It does show how far Mulgrew has come, mainly due to his change in position.

Wilson for me though has always been our best RB and should have got a call up sooner, before his injuries mind.
Im glad in a way that Wilson hasn't been called up coz if he did get injured chances are it would be a bad one.

But playing international football is good for players to get more experience in europe and these 2 guys imo deserve that chance after the season they had. 2 very versatile defenders that can play across the back 4 or even holding midfield in some cases.

Mark Wilson wouldnt get picked for a friendly though as he wouldnt train or play so thered be no point but Wilson will get picked for the competitive games.

Its Mulgrew im unhappy about when you see the 4 centre-backs picked, 4 donkeys!
