    It is reported that Norwegian youngster Marcus Pedersen is on Blackburn Rovers’ transfer radar.

    The Evening Chronicle claims Newcastle United are to fight it out with Rovers and Celtic FC for the youngster’s signature.

    The paper understands that the Magpies sent representatives to take a look at the 19-year-old.

    Pedersen has scored five goals for Stromsgodset in nine appearances so far this season.

    It is also believed that Fulham, Sunderland, Bolton Wanderers have also shown an interest in the Norway Under-21 international along with Borussia Monchengladbach and Hamburg from Germany and French club Auxerre.

    For young players it's not always about the money, more about where they will get the oppertunity. I mean AC Milan were in for Misun were they not?

    He is scoring top class goals here, looks like he has a turn of pace aswell. I know youtube videos of players can be misleading but it shows what he is capable of and only being 19 he wouldn't be hard to sell if he didn't turn out too great!

    In that video he reminds me of a young Gary O'Conner.

    Looks an exciting prospect & maybe better than what we already have - same with Rogne, who would be in a position to tell him that.
