Theres McFadden - yesterdays man, pied us for Everton, whose fans hate him. mid table mediocrity for 'The Scottish Rooney'. Owen Coyle - loves to tell the Media how much of a Celtic man he is - rejected the club - twice. So many more - David Moyes. Barry Bannan etc

which makes me ask - why have the Irish players dropped sticks and move to Celtic? Why do the Scottish players, with Irish family, not go for it? Neil Lennon could have went to a Liverpool etc as a player - he chose Celtic. Stokes could have maybe went to lower level premiership/higher championship team, prob for more money. He chose Celtic. Even Robbie Keane/Roy Keane, bigger and better players than Mcfadden, chose Celtic even if for a short period of time. You know Shay Given would have made the move if Celtic could afford, there he was saying he would have taken a pay cut.

And then theres Martin O Neil, who could have had his pick up jobs in England at the time

So why do the people brought in and around the area constantly reject Celtic?

I really hope Celtic dont embarass themselves and go in for Mcfadden or Coyle again.

It's nothing to do with nationality imo. Also when did Moyes reject us?

It may be the clubs fault. Anything to save a pound. The amount of quality players we should have bought in the last 10 years but didnt is madness. Pavlachecko, Bellamy (after his loan spell), Given, Mc Carthy, Mc Fadden, Fletcher. We would have got a return on all these players money wise except for given if we would have bought them at the right time.

I don't think you can say all Scottish born Celtic fans would reject the club just because a handful of guys tempted more by the money of the EPL than by the glory of playing for their boyhood heroes.

David Moyes is one of the longest serving managers in the EPL. He has been working with Everton for over a decade, so that would suggest that he is dedicated to the work he is doing at the moment at Goodison in difficult circumstances.

    Your argument is moot.

Did you apply for the manager's position when it was available?

We wanted to mcfaddan to go on trial. Whiich imo is pointless.

We knew faddy had terms on the table from several epl sides,so we dicked about as usual. Its possible faddy would have joined us if we offered him a straight contract.

Wolves offered him a pay as u play deal,he was trainning with them,so they seen something still there they believed he was good enough still for the epl. They pay as u play was covering them from risk of serious injury.

Everton offered terms to the end of the season just,a contract to the end of the season with a view of extending probley would have got faddy.

Look at freddy last year,we gave him a trial and our number 7.didn't work out there. All our trials fail to work out, including that player that near put us out of the europa league with sion.

I can't remember the last trial to work out, would it be rogne. Has rogne even worked out,not at the minute anyway.

Our trials never work but nor does our loaning out system. Who's the last player we have loaned out and got
    The benefit from?

Chu you are spot on there mate, and the answer is clearly they went where they are for one reason, and one reason only, MONEY. Another one who springs to mind besides the ones you have mentioned is Paul Lambert, ok maybe he didn't feel he was up for the Celtic managers job yet, but it hurt me like * when he quickly distanced from the Celtic job, when Tony Mowbray got the bullet. I will never forget the words of Tommy Burns, when certain people tried to disuade him from taking the managers at Celtic. Some saying he was too young, or too inexperienced, but what did the bold Tommy Bhoy say, "you only get one chance to manage Celtic, and you take it". Good on you and * bless you Tommy, you are a Celtic man through and through, not half baked like some who claim to be. :50:

I don't think your argument is moot, chu. If you are a fan, then you express an intrest, whether you are approached or not, if you think you have the ability. You either put up or shut up is my motto

Everyone involved in football wants to be at the highest level. When certain players knocked back he English teams we were a team on the up. Playing in Europe, reaching finals and playing against better competition in the league. Now were on a downward spiral and can't even compete against the likes of killie that well.
Everton might be mid tabled but they play in a better league sand his cold be faddys last chance to play at that level

Moyes hasn't rejected us, in-fact he actually said he wants to manage us one day,but doesn't feel he's ready yet.

No harm to you Rogne, but I bet he would be ready to step up if the Man Utd job was offered to him.

Im a bit disapointed that with faddy but its only to be expected. Everyone is going to go to the prem and earn more money for themselves and tehir family, its only sencible that everyone would do it. I used to waffle on that if it were me then i'd play for celtic for nothing blah, blah, blah but trust me everyone of us would make the same decision.

Did he actually say he wanted to manage Celtic one day? I've never seen this before, but I'd love to have him here as manager one day.

Can't really argue against that to be honest, but there's very few people who would reject Man Utd.

Yeah, I remember reading it in the Sun and watching it on STV, it was around about the end of the Mowbray season. I can't actually remember why they were interviewing him in the first place.
