I know it's the DR but would anybody even be shocked? :56:

I'm not going to say he's perfect but the amount that other managers get away with yet he doesn't is a joke.

remains to be seen how many games it will be but it's going to be a lot.

Pains me to say it but he needs to stop having a players reaction and start reacting like a manager.

Before anyone jumps on me I completely understand the frustration shown but sadly we have to operate within the rules we're governed by. * though they may be.

Can't see that happening. What a ridiculous ban that would be.

if they try to give him 17 game ban im sure celtic would just do the same as last year. employ a competent legal respresentative and watch him rip the SFA a new * hole.

it is unjustifiable to give lennon this kind of ban when others within the scottish game get off scot free, a decent council will highlight this.

If Lenny gets that then Steven Presley should expect a similar sort of punishment aswell then, he done exactly the same thing, and it wasn't his first offence either. Didn't Stuart mcall get sent to the stand against Aberdeen a few weeks ago and not get any sort of ban. Paulo sergio is even worse for it.

It's getting to the stage where it is becoming a bit of a joke. Lenny is fighting a losing battle, whilst I admire his bravery to stand up for himself, I'm afraid it's not going to get him anywhere. The witchunt against him from, the sfa ad the media in particular is * shocking.

17 games would be ludicrous. Bougherra got nothing for man-handling the referee last season.

No chance he will get a 17 match ban but he will still get more that what he really should. How many matches did presley get?

Don't expect to see him back in the dugout til next season, he'll get hammered though no doubt as he always does.

To be honest Lennon's conduct is a bit over the top.

I totally understand his frustration - most of the time he loses the plot when we get an utterly ridiculous decision gets given against us, e.g. Sunday and the non-penalty decision against Killie.

Personally I think this whole referee protection thing is ridiculous. Managers should be allowed to talk poorly of referees if they have a bad game. If so many of them do it, surely they must be doing something wrong, and I'm sure there are plenty of situations where the managers go into the dressing room and see a replay then decide "yeah he got that one right actually".

However, as unfortunate and * as decisions are, he knows the consequences of acting up. He should just put a lid on it. There are other surely more subtle ways within the rules of hammering referees that the media won't just lap up.

To be fair, I haven't seen many managers reacting the way he has. Love the guy, but as someone said before me, he needs to stop reacting like a player and start reacting like a manager; I know it's his personality, but he needs to at least hold it publicly, no matter how unjust the calls from the ref seem. I don't usually advocate for people to hold things in, especially when we get some of the calls we've gotten, but when it boils down to it, it only works against us - like this forthcoming ban. Just my two cents anyway.

definitely. I have the utmost respect for his passion but he needs to not flip before even seeing a replay.

the daily ranger has found Neil Lennon guilty before he goes in front of the SFA i think he will probably get off with two of the charges against him ( being sent off against rangers and speaking about a strong ref against ST Johnstone ) but then again the SFA dont always get things right
