Since its being discussed Rangers thread I found this list online. :50:
Left Wing Clubs
AS Livorno Calcio (Italy--and probably the most left-leaning on this list)

*Athletic Bilbao (Spain)
*PFC Lokomotiv Sofia (Bulgaria)
*Feyenoord Rotterdam (Netherlands)

*Hapoel Tel Aviv FC (Israel--their logo is the communist hammer and sickle)
*FC Arsenal Kyiv (Ukraine)
*Olympique de Marseilles (France)

*S.S Lazio (Italy--tied with Zenit, at least, supporter wise)

*Millwall (England)

FC Twente (Holland)
Shamrock Rovers (Ireland)
Paris St Germain (France)

I agree with most of the list any other suggestions and we'll add to it?

Millwall, another horrible BNP club.

Aren't Man U quite left wing? Could be wrong, but I've known a few Man U supporters and I think the general consensus is that their values are generally socialist.
Also aren't Russian clubs generally quite right wing/racist? I remember when Odemwingie signed for West Brom from Locamotive Moscow they had a banner with a picture of a banana and 'thanks West Brom' written on it.Last edited by a moderator: Nov 30, 2011 -

One club with a strong antifascist tradition that hasn't been mentioned is Omonia Nicosia. They were actually founded on the principle of resistance to the far right.
Around the time of the second world war, the board of Cyprus' kingpin football club APOEL Nicosia - incredibly - sent round a circular insisting that all their players pledge allegiance to the far right. Players who refused were sacked.
From these players the new club of Omonia FC (Omonia means Concord or Harmony) was born. Heart-warmingly, it wouldn't be too long before Omonia would proceed to put the previously mighty APOEL well & truly in their place - winning sixteen league titles in the 60s, 70s and 80s, compared to just four for their fascist rivals.
Their fans still hold to these antifascist traditions, and have strong links with St Pauli and Livorno.KRS-1888 likes this. -

How are Liverpool left wing? I'm not saying that they are or aren't, just eager to find out more
-
Hansa Rostock used to be really bad, and had a rivalry with Pauli on account of it - but the club itself has more recently tried to stamp down on all the right-wing pish, and I don't think they're as bad as they used to be. -
-
-
As with all big clubs nowadays though, especially global teams like Liverpool and Man U, you can't really say a club is left or right wing - officially all clubs are neutral these days as no director or chairman is going to risk saying something controversial or "political" and as the fanbase is so widespread you could have everything from a tree-huggin lefty to a racist fascist in the stands. -
off topic here but i know of LFC fans wanting independence from england as say a republic of liverpool or the way the basque's are with spain?

The Free Republic of Scousedonia.
