    Shearer probably edged it in terms of finishing but I'd have Larsson in my team every day of the week - he created nearly as many as he scored!

    They were both at their best imo when both played beside Sutton. Different types of players. Larsson would set up as many as he would score whereas shearer would shoot on sight

    honestly shearer was an outstanding striker aswell! some of the goals he scored were amazing and any team during his time playing would have taken him in a heart beat! just glad we had a player like that too but gave us more.

    has to be Larsson; Shearer never got his team to a European Final the way Henrik did

    no doubt shezza was a fantastic striker but better than Larsson? No, nay, never!!!

    i dont think its to do with that at all mate tbh. i think henke was a better player striker all round than shearer! and i dont think you will see anyone saying shearer was pish? cos he wasnt.

    As great as Henke was I think it's slightly harsh that Shearer has 0 votes. :56:

    408 goals in 797 games when playing in one of the top leagues in the world and in International football is awesome shooting to be fair.

    henrik was better at passing, crossing, finishing, even heading imo.

    pretty close but i just think henrik was world class, shearer? not quite.

    Shearer was one of the best in the air. A bit like Bierhoff. Larsson was great at heading for his height. He had a great leap and just seemed to hang there. The only other player I can think of that reminds me of him in the air is Tim Cahill
