Whilst I've been banned all week I've been lurking on other teams message boards and I stumbled on a Thread comparing Larsson to Aguero, but the comments quickly turned to who's the better player.

Now I've not seen an awful lot of Aguero but what I have seen I struggle to find much comparison between them, other than they're both great players.

I know Aguero's regarded as this worldclass forward but Larsson was held in high regard all over the world, not just by Celtic Fans but Barca Fans, Man U Fans, all over Sweden and Managers, Coaches Ex Players who never even played along side him.

I don't think Aguero will ever be in the same bracket so for me it's Larsson.

Try to be as honest and un-bias as you can (I found that hard though because Larsson was an absolute idol for me growing up)

Aguero is probably better, think he's absolutely unbelievable, carried City for the majority of last season a was still comfortably EPL top scorer in an injury hit season. Very much a modern football thing where a play like him plays up front on his own though, 10 years ago he'd be playing off a CF as a second striker.

I too, haven't seen much of Aguero to comment on this, never mind the ability to be unbiased. From the little I have seen (don't watch much EPL) he is a great player! Having seen the legend in action, Henrik of course comes out on top! The man was simply brilliant.

Difficult to say. Larsson was the ultimate big game player, which for me sets him apart from a lot of people he's compared to. Aguero is also a big game player though. They're both players who it really doesn't matter who they're up against, they will perform.

It's hard to say really, Aguero would probably score about 80 goals in the SPL a season

It is hard to compare the two because they're from different eras, but the way some people just right Larsson off because he played most of his Career in Scotland is laughable.

Not to sure if this link will work, but check it out if it does. Some of the comments are just pure outrageous

I'm not sure on this. Larsson was an unbelievably intelligent footballer, outwith his goals.

Aguero is * brillaint. I think he's underrated by a lot of people. I can see a few similarities to Brazilian Ronaldo in his game. Really top class player, better than Suarez (just about) when fit imo.

    Aguero wins for me

Surprised to see as many folk say Aguero.

Bias green and white specz out the window here...there really isn't that much in it. As for the argument Aguero is the better allround player I'd disagree. Name one thing Larsson wasn't really strong at?

    Decent pace
    Incredible finishing
    Composure
    Temperament
Heading was phenomenal, something Aguero doesn't have.
Could perform a number of roles whether it was as a target man, out and out poacher or someone to lay on the goals.
    Technique was tremendous.
    Leader.

Probably missed a few. Aguero is a phenomenal player but I'd still go with Larsson....perhaps my green and white specs are back on now but..who cares.

Pretty much how I see it. Larsson edges it as the alround forward, Aguero is the more dangerous player when playing on the shoulder of the last defender. It is difficult to compare them though due to then playing on vastly different era's. Modern day defenders are pretty woeful compared to Larsson's time, so would be interesting to see how many Larsson would get in a season.

Larsson has the medals, you can say that, it's never the total mark of a player: Would you say Larsson was better than Shearer? Hard to say. Frightening to think what Aguero would do up here, I think he just shades it.

Larsson was exceptional on the shoulder, too. That Scottish Cup Final in 04 against Dunfermline, right on the shoulder and what a finish.

Aye he was, no doubting it. Just feel Aguero's pace give him a slight edge there. Much like the way Aguero is a very good link up player too, but feel Larsson just edges that. Think football has changed a fair bit from the 90's/early 2000's, with most of the best forwards in the world, with the exception of messi, being very physically gifted.

Aguero is probably the best out and out striker in the world at the moment. That being said I think Henrik is better, but he will never get the credit he fully deserves because most of his goals came for us in a very weak league.

Those who played with him or against him know how good he was. He was a top drawer and I have no doubt if he would of played in a better league he'd be in every conversation about the best strikers over the past 20 years.

For those who are saying Aguero is an all round better player I think you're forgetting how good Henrik was, he led our assists for four years in a row!! With 85 assists in his last 4 seasons

When Aguero finishes his career I might be persuaded to say he is better, but at the moment it's still Henrik for me.

When i say better all round player i mean agueros got the better pace, power, technical ability, he can play on the shoulder and take players on and skin them then smash a shot into the top corner all on his own. Better 'all round player' probably isnt the right way to put it but hes got the edge in the aspects that most people would consider most dangerous or difficult to play against.
