    Kristoffer Ajar, the hottest prospect in Norwegian football, is a target for Celtic. Ronny Deila had a scout in attendance as the 17-year-old, who has scored eight times this season, played in relegation-threatened IK Start’s 5-1 defeat at Bodo/Glimt.

    An unnamed English club and the French giants Paris St-Germain also watched on as Ajar set up the opening goal for Lars-Jorgen Salvesen after 10 minutes but he was powerless to prevent his side crashing to a heavy loss.

    Ajar admitted he was flattered by the interest but added that he would not be drawn on transfer talk with Start in a precarious position.

    “Of course it’s fun, but not something I think about. The only thing I think of now is that Start will not be relegated,” said the attacking midfielder, who has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

    I wonder what sort of fee he would command.

    See a scout report there saying his style is like Vieras. Sounds
    Like he would be ideal backup for centre midfielder or just off the striker (since he has 12 goals in 22 for a team in the relegation battle)

    I'm a bit wary of that. There are a lot more goals in the Norwegian league than in the SPFL, mainly because defensive organisation and hard tackling has gone out of fashion here. He's one for the future though

    How much was Odegaard? 3 million euros or something rising to 8m? He's had more publicity than this big *.
