Thoughts on this, bhoys and ghirls?

going for a routine win here, possibly another 1-0 game, but hoping for more.

game is live on ESPN. :50:

    hail hail! :shamrock:

I would happily take 1-0 for every remaining game now mate. At this stage of the season, I'm only concerned about getting the points in the bag and of course where the Cup is concerned, beating Well on May 21st and getting the Double in Lenny's first full season.

As for the Killie game though, I've said it already in here a couple of nights ago. It's a potential banana skin and we've all witnessed the great football they have been playing under big Mixu since he took charge. They have been totally revolutionized and are a force to be reckoned with, as far as Scottish football goes.

Saying that, we're still miles ahead of them in class. I'm going for 2-0 :50:

    Give Izzy a rest.

    Forster

    Wilson Rogne Maj Mulgrew

    Broony Kayal Ki Commons

    Stokes Hooper

It might be a big ask for Maj to play now and against the huns, so maybe:

    Forster

    Cha Wilson Rogne Mulgrew

    Broony Kayal Ki Commons

    Stokes Hooper

if we play with any of the following then we will really struggle: cha, loovens, ljungberg or ki

every game is going to be extremely difficult between now and the end of the season due to the pressure we will be under and the pressure which comes with it

i can understand that loovens is a bomb-scare most of the time, but why the hate on cha, ljungberg and ki? all three have had a good season with us. maybe not ljungberg as much, because he's not had much game time, but cha and ki have been playing well almost all season, with the exception of just recently. give them a break, mate. they'll probably prove to be important players in the run-in. :50:

Ljungberg, really? What exactly has he done wrong in his games here since joining us? You have a case for Loovens. Ki maybe, as he hasn't been impressive lately and his last really good game for us was probably before the Asian Cup. Same goes for Cha, but he has been injured too, so we should really go easy on him.

    you'll never walk alone
in an ideal world i would have the same starting 11 as today but if joe is injured i would move brown into the middle and put cha on right mid.

This is a game were we can bring in players that need a game & get up to match fitness (Ljungberg, Maloney & Majstorovic) & give Ledley a rest ahead of the Old Firm, Fingers crossed he is ok for that one..

For a start, he is someone that the younger boys in the squad can look up to. Players like Kayal, Ledley and even Brown. Ljungberg was a part of the Arsenal "Invincibles" squad that went about 60 games unbeaten in the EPL a few years back. He is the most experienced player in our squad at present.

Whilst it doesn't look like he's done much on the pitch since he came in January, it's mainly because of his recent injury and also because our midfielders are playing so well right now. Commons and Ledley scored another goal apiece today and Krissy should have had another one.

Say we get hit with a sudden spate of injuries in the middle of the park (* forbid). We still have the likes of Ljungberg to step in and cover, especially as we close in on the final games of the season. His experience and talent could still go a long way for us, even though there is very little of the current season left.

What's more, we got him for free.

Tricky one in terms of selection, Lenny won't want to weaken the team too much but one or two may be rested ahead of sunday.

I dont think this game is about resting players. We have to play our best 11 and ensure a result. We cant afford any slipups because there are not many games left and with the Huns playing on Tuesday we could be 4 points behind, we must win to ensure we are only 1 point behind going into the Old Firm game. Get a couple of goal lead then think about resting players.

I agree mate but with 3 games in a week Lenny might just make a couple of tweaks.
