That was a really good read, you often forget footballers are just normal people as well.

It's great to have him settled. Such a huge improvement.

Hopefully he can keep improving here now that he's settled

“You see the type of players who get picked for England and of course it’s flattering. But I wouldn’t say it’s what I’ve set out to achieve in my career.

Wish Hooper and Forster had the same view sometimes. Every player is different though I suppose.

I´m so happy for him, one of my favorite players in the squad

I stuck by big Kelv all the way, even when he was struggling I still felt there was a good player in there waiting to get out. Now we have an idea of why he struggled in his first season here. I'm chuffed for him that he's managed to turn things around.

This is also another example of good man management by Neil Lennon.

It's nice to read that's he's managed to settle up here. Reading that he sounds like quite a nice guy, so hopefully he keeps on playing as well as he was last season and enjoying his time here.

That's pretty much what I thought when I read that part as well, it sounds like he has the right attitude about it.

At the end of the day Wilson, Hooper and Forster are good enough enough to play for England (and are certainly better than some of the players who've had call ups) but if Roy Hodgson chooses to ignore them just because they play for and SPL side it's England's loss.

This is probably what happened to big Efe Ambrose. Sure the big man can turn it round as well.

I definitely had my doubts about him but I'm absolutely delighted with how he played last year. He was fantastic, particularly in Europe.

Kelvin made huge strides last season and in the Champions League, was mainly excellent. I hope he continues to progress but I still feel he is one mistake away from becoming a bomb scare again.

Its seems very strange to me to see a person unhappy being 250 miles away from his home. He is good player and i am happy to hear that he feels settled but it really sounds annoying.

What do you find strange about it?

If I had a wife and children and I had to live 250 miles away from them for most of the time then I would be miserable too.

Glad the big guy has settled now. A massive improvement from him last year, lets hope it continues this season.

I can personally sympathise with Kelvin here I moved over to Turkey on my own for work originally yes I had nice weather and a easy way of living but it is tough, I had a girlfriend and young son still living in Liverpool, thankfully there over here now and I'm enjoying life and I'm thrilled that Wilson is settled now as well because he was a star last year

Na, apparently Efe and Wanyama are glued together.

So he will probably be loney and off form next season if anything :smiley-laughing002:

Anyone think but Kelvinbauer had a hair transplant? just occured to me that he looked near baldy when he first signed and his front hairline is funny looking.

Massive fan of Wilson. Even through his period of poor form, I knew there was a player there. Apart from Commons, he would have been my player of the year last season
