Exactly. Utterly mental to me that people are genuinely implying we shouldn't go for him if the sell-on percentage is 30%. So what if we barely make a profit on him in terms of transfer fee (which by the way I don't think will happen), what about the money he'll make us with tournament wins and the benefits he'll bring us as another top class player to eventually leave our club for one of the top 5 leagues? Above and beyond that, what about the joy of having a player like Jota to watch over the next couple of years?

The board obviously knew about the “30%” when negotiating the buy out option. They should be beaten with Frankwurst’s if they don’t trigger the clause.

Some people doubting wether to sign him because of the 30% sell on clause haha. This man could help bring us to the uefa cup final, Cl cup final, help us another treble and * are complaining about a 30% sell on clause. Just a wee tip, first of all give your heads a * shake and two, think back to last season. Yous would all be creaming in your panties for a player of his calibre who can produce the goods we need. * the sell on clause and get the wee man signed as soon as possible! If we even break even on him after we win more trebles or get to a final in europe, ill be the one creaming in my panties ffs so stop moaning about a sell on clause and move on to something else. Wee jota will be an excellect signing and worth every penny the wee man gets.

As explained earlier there are 2 different types of sell-on fees, insane that some people don't understand that

Over the years I have always seen her tweeting about Celtic transfer incomings as to whether who was coming in or not! Definitely a fan.

Jota’s Celtic transfer is “practically confirmed” according to reports in Portugal.

The Benfica winger is set to complete a £6.5million permanent switch to Parkhead after spending the 2021/22 Premiership campaign on loan with the Hoops.

A Bola claimed last week that the 23-year-old had “accepted” the move, with negotiations expected to be completed.

The same outlet now says that a deal is all but done.

Jota is currently holidaying in Ibiza, but is expected to put pen to paper sooner rather than late

Holy * this forum is touchy as *, all I insinuated is that 30% was too high and we should renegotiate. We had lawell doing our dealings and not even he got a 30% sell on fee on proven quality, jota was far from proven prior to joining us.

Feel like I have told a bunch of young school girls Harry Styles is pish.

It’s not like we would rather the 30% over a 10% sell on. The point being made is that we have zero leverage here. We clearly desperately want to sign Jota and the fee and percentages were agreed before he came here. Sure we could ask them to drop the percentage but I’d imagine they’d just say no you’re alright. :giggle1:

The main thing is to get him signed, but 30% sell on is hefty.

Couldn't care less about a sign on fee. He will be the difference between securing champions league football for the next 2 years + hopefully.

    Give them the 30%.

Let him give us another £80m.
