Joe Ledley Poll

A few people were criticizing Ledley last night in the match thread and one of those critics suggested a poll to see what the fanbase really thinks about him. I'm pretty confident that the majority of supporters have appreciated his talent and influence this season.

 

Very ordinary player who's perhaps slightly out of position to be fair. Doesn't cover enough ground in games playing with only two midfielder. Is this his fault? No.

Looks like he can finish chances and should be playing in front of the two midfielders if playing at all because he has a fear of heading the ball for sure and isn't really one for a 50/50 challenge which is very much needed in the bigger matches.

I'm still undecided on the player as I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. Very over-rated on this site though.

 

Voted yes. I'd say he has been average so far with the odd glimpse of the class player i think he can become with time and a settled team around him

I thought he would have been a lot better than he has though.

Perhaps Lennys tactics/formations don't suit him.

 

What a rediculous question . He has to do to much when he is beside Ki. When he's beside Ki he has to attack and defending and do all the running about so Ki can just strole about. Anybody who knows anything about football can see Ledleys class. Theres a thread that was up the other day saying about out most valueable assest and everybody said Ledley but obviously after one dodgy game he is our worst player, no shock that some Celtic fans react like that right enough. His sending off was never a red card in a million years, if anybody seen Lee Cattermole's yellow card the other night or even Stokes yellow at the hun house then Ledley's is never as bad as that. * at the SFA just on anychance to * us over.

 

Yes he is more than good enough for us .

 

I'd like to see this midfield. Cha and Iza would cope as long as we had a pacey centre half.

It was never a red card. Ref couldnt wait to get the red card out. If anyone was going to be sent off last night it should have been Samaras for

a) being a useless kunt
b) making horrible sliding tackles that are no where near the ball

 

Stop justifying Ledley. Ledley was anonymous and it was his fault not Ki. Ledley is really over-rated get over it.

Some people are really generous on Ledley and really harsh on Ki. When Ledley isnt performing it's Ki's fault. When Ki's performing well and ledley hides, they say ledley quiet but effective, do simple things well and give balance to the midfield.

 

Yes he is good enough for us, does the simple things well, great ball retention and great range of passing.

He will go on to be a captain for us i think.

 

Who will play instead of him in the next game??

Crosas hasn't even been in the recent squads has he?

 

I presume it will be Juarez .

 

He's not the answer for midfield. I don't know where he plays but he can't win tackles.

 

Big game on Sunday. Even thought St Mirren have about 2 players I have heard of they won away to the Arabs last night and there is big pressure on us to bounce back. Juarez has his chance to shine.

Well in my opinion i think Essien should sit behing Van Der Vaart and Sneider............
Ffs, we're a very average team at present, and Ledley is a good player in that team.

I feel he would be more suited to a midfield three, but he can only do his best in the position asked.

 

ledley has been improving game by game, players need a settled team to thrive, he will show his class once he knows the movement of all the players around him, he is all over the pitch right now covering mistakes, which in turn is stopping his natural game, the same with big maj doing too many jobs, he needs a reliable partner, rogne looks the best bet, i personally think ledley is miles better than huns Davis and look how well he does in a settled team

He does the simple things very well and has bee our most consistent peformer imo.
