if celtic dont buy a top class centre half in january then its bye bye league i think.i am fed up with the ridiculous amount of money they continue too spend on this area of the park.why cant they spend 5 million on a centre half the rest of the team is ok when everyone is fit.ps the board are having a laugh when they say that they spent big in summer when mgeady etc paid for the lot of them.

We need much more than that. If Hooper gets injured, we're in dire straights.

Also with Brown out of the team we struggle like mad.

Is Forster going back to Newcastle.

    I'd say that's 4 or 5 players needed or it's 3 in a row to them.

I don't think stopping three in a row is top of their agenda this season but that said I totally agree that a CB is a priority but only if a decent one is available. It would be madness to buy another one who is no better than what we have. What I get frustrated about Celtic is that they don't force the issues too hard, i.e. Pay slightly over the odds to land their man.

we need 2 cbs, left winger, poss 2 strikers a max of 3 to 4 players our defence is a shambles and i have a bad feeling that time the jan window comes and if we get any new players in that they could be out of sight

we are in terrible need for a quality cb to partner maj. i feel he does a 2 man job at times, another striker would be good too incase * forbid hooper gets hurt. he is far too important a player for us ,a great piece of buisness i may add.still think we need to get ourselved a right good combative midfielder too.

I feel we will be bargain hunting in the jan window as the McGeady money will be put towards the debt( which will be worrying the money men).the reasons for the high debt being1. No real European money 2.low attendances 3.quite a large squad with players who will be on decent money who won't play often like kayal, brown, Juarez samaras who prob wouldn't get in the team at the moment

celtic board have hid behind this debt thing for years and look what happened.they have missed out on champs league twice ie 20 million at least.the board are the reason the fans stay away.i just wish for once they would show a bit of bottle in a transfer window when that rangers team are easily there for the taking.

wage budget was cut with all the big names left last jan and this summer so they saved on that, only a very few are on 25k a week, brown and ledley no- one else is near that...... we had just over 5m in debt and we got 9.5m for mcgeady and lennon said himself he would get all of that money......

don't think he will get all of that but i hope they give him around 4m after the bedt is cleared, only way they will put bums on seats is if they bring better players in.......

Major investment is not needed, two or three QUALITY players are!

Players who can come in and be better than what we have, that may well cost cas and players might need to be sold to achieve it.

A CB with pace and experience is a MUST! A goalkeeper is also a must if Forster leaves as expected, there are a few free transfers and loan options which would probably be the best option. I would also like to see a lightening quick winger who can cross a ball and also a decent striker.
