Hoping that wee Forrest can stay fit for at least the rest of the season now. So frustrating having a player in the squad who can hardly ever play, so must be even more frustrating for the bhoy himself.

Think with him on the right and wakaso on the left we will be more explosive on the counter, something we need for the last few europa group games.

He's been decent today. Beating defenders, drawing free kicks and setting up Guidetti for his chance.

Quality player! shame about his stop and start career so far.

 

Tried to take a bit of responsibility at times today, good to see.

 

Thought he showed flashes of his quality today, frightening to think how good he could get with a decent run of games.

I find myself wincing every time he gets tackled though, not surprising really, constantly just waiting on him breaking down again.

Hopefully Ronny uses him sparingly for a while, let him run at Salzburg then let him come off the bench in the next game if we really need him.

Excellent performance today.

 

I've got on his back a lot, but outstanding for an hour today before tiring.

The way he just took out defenders in a flash at times today is exactly what we've missed. Loved the way he came inside looking for the ball as well and took people on, which is clearly down to the coaching team.

Needs to work on his left foot and decision-making, which is where the manager and his staff come into play.

 

Remember Neil Lennon saying that he had very high hopes for James when he first breaking through....I think Lenny was right, Forrest is a great wee player and very entertaining to watch.

 

There is no doubt about it for me if Forrest could stay injury free for a full season he would be winning player of the year awards and be a dominant player for us.

 

Just caught up with the highlights looks like he played well. We've been missing a player who can take on a defender.

 

Really good game today, I really hope he stays injury free.

 

Thought he was brilliant today.

His movement and defensive work seems to have improved a lot under Deila.

 

Forrest and Johansen were the outstanding performers today.

Best game I've seen from James in a good while.
