I was playing devils advocate with myself and each time I thought about how they where to blame the more stupid the idea sounded.

Celtic Fan” We got beat 4 nil last night and is was Sammy and MAF"

Stranger” Are they your central defenders?"

Celtic Fan " No , they are our forwards"

Stranger " Oh, did they miss a lot of sitters"

Celtic Fan " No, they didn't get any changes"

Stranger " Would that not be the fault of your midfield then"

    Celtic Fan " No"

Stranger " How did you lose the goals"

Celtic Fan " Two Penalties "

Stranger " Oh did they cause the penalties"

    Celtic Fan " No"

Stranger " Well , where the other 2 dead balls and they didn't do the marking properly"

Celtic Fan " No, the other 2 where from open play "

Stranger " Do you like these guys, my friend"

Celtic Fan " That is not the point "

Stranger " yes, I am not sure what your point is"

    * Love It Mate, Unfortunately Thats The Way Some Of Our Fans Think Though.
I Personally Think MAF and Sammy Try The hardest Out Of Everyone at The Club and Are Quite Effectual In The Wide Roles Now. But How They Going To Score If We Dont Creat Chances For Them.

It is unfair to single them out as the whole team didny turn up. However they are both dreadful and should still be sold immediately

I am not blaming Samaras or Fortune for last nights dire performance their were too many other worse than those two....BUT...much as I try I just cannot take to Samaras at all...Sure he has scored important goals for us (but that is what a Celtic striker is suppose to do)....It's his apparent inability to control a ball when it comes to him from midfield....It will either bounce of his leg two yards from him giving an opposition player the chance to nip in and steal it or he manages to control it and then dithers on the ball indecisively till someone puts him under pressure.....or he goes of on a run trying to take on a player too many before losing the ball.....I have lost count of the time I have seen us put under pressure by teams through the big man's inability to do the basics well. I feel he has had long enough to iron these problems out...It's evident he can't...So he should go. Like i said I know he has chipped in with some fine goals...but for me he doesn't hold the ball up well enough....putting us under pressure time and time again.

FFS lads , every game that goes wrong the same old posters come out and are too quick to point the finger at Sammy especially , this time MAF as well , hang on a minute here thats only 2 out of 11 that started !!! ..Are they solely to blame for the farce last night ??? No i think not , the team have to take this collectivly and lose as a team and not blame 1 or 2 (usually the same) players... get a grip :38:

It is fair to blame them mate but whats not fair is that people forget to add another 7 names to the list ,the only pass marks for effort last night were for Forrest and Kayal ,the rest never tried a leg ,thats not the same team of Celtic players that i watched handling that team the week before ,there better than that but why it went * up is beyond me ,same team of players but not the same 2 weeks running in that game.

I distinctly said at the start of my post I wasn't blaming either Sammy or MAF for last nights nightmare mate. I do however think Samara's has problems controlling a football properly.

You posted directly under my post, no you didn't quote me that is correct. I am just clarifying, should any readers think I am one of those you alluded to who come on and constantly point the finger at Samara's and MAF. I am not. No biggie mate. :50:

they may try hard but as forwards they are at the club to score goals, but they can't get goals

last night showed they could not score in a barrel of *'s with a golden *

hooper is out for some time, and now the board need to back lennon and get in a forward who will score goals and get us 20-30 goals a season......

    Great conversation:50:

But what I would say is "why did you not say when the team was under the cosh early on and throughout the first half the Defence and midfield tried to clear the ball to the afformentioned players but neither the 2 of them could hold the ball up".

Look dont kid yourself. There were opportunities for us to get forward las night but the defence and midfield were looking after our own net and needed those 2 arses to hold the ball up to give them a chance to break away. Sammy and MAF were both trying stupid lay offs that would have been better sticking to their feet and bringing other players into play.

I just cant deal with Sammy every second touch is a flaming tackle. He started brightly this season and I wanted to give him a chance but my patience is gone

    Sorry

    Hail Hail:50:

i'm not blaming them for the defeat. little they could of done tbh.

having said that, i think they are the two weakest players in our squad. and to be frankly honest, i would rather give a run out for two of our U19 strikers than give these two duds a starting role in the line up.

MAF did actually miss a very good chance last night, he turned and simply sclaffed the ball straight into the keepers arms. He has done this too often to be considered a striker. He is not a bad player but a striker, I don't think so. Samaras, no comment necessary.

I only saw the first half because I was at work, but I think Samaras and MAF deserve a good bit of the blame for yesterday, not all though. All we had to do was score 1 away goal and not concede 4 goals and we would have been fine, not apparently was too much to ask for.

Samaras and MAF do certain things well and at the end of the day I could care less. They are strikers, there job is to score, if you don't score than there's no point in keeping them here. I don't care if they play ok out wide and make a fine pass here or then, we have plenty of decent midfielders it seems and what we need now is a couple decent strikers who can actually score regularly. Stokes + Hooper when he's recovered might be that option. We also apparently need better defenders. Didn't Any of the 2nd half, was kind of surprised to see us concede another 2 goals. Did Majstorovic play poor? Hopefully that Honduran LB will come and play well, think Ch Du Ri will be ok, have no clue about of CD paring though.

Its not fair but its the easy way out for people to blame Samaras and Fortune.
