I think a new dawn is upon us. If you look at our squad now
Our Internationals look good as far as creativity and diversity of attack compared to one or two exhausted outlets that most teams in Europe could stifle easily. But with our squad now I think we can adjust alot quicker and change our game with more options available. A big factor is JVoH. Finally a target man for Naka and Petrov to hit as mcuh as they can. I think Miller would be better playing off JVoH. Hes more tenacious and direct than Zurawski who has been weak at times in my opinion.

    Boruc
    Magic
    Jarosik
    Petrov
    Naka
    McGeady
    Jan-VoH

    McManus
    Caldwell

only thing against us at the moment is - - we dont have a coach with the smarts to effectively use what is surely an excellent squad.

I think GS deserves the chance to prove if he can do it or not.

He brought the players to the club and i don't think he can have any excuses about the squad not being good enough now. A settled side will make all the difference..

I cant wait to see the team if Graveson comes in and when Balde comes back (note im not the biggest fan of balde but i feel hes better at scaring opponents and positionally and a better header of the ball than Caldwell) I think we could do something in the champions league if all these click *fingers crossed* with Maloney coming back as well I think we'll have a really strong midfield.

Celtic will be getting serious when they get rid of Balde and bring in Gravessen instead.
And hopefully Lennon will be eased out, too slow as was Hartson.

Why would bringing in Graveson be a good replacement for balde they play in different positions?

I've said after signing Naylor an Hesselink that our team looks really strong on the paper. after today's game i was given the first proof that we're strong in reality too. some good days are to come IMO. * bless Hesselink lol... with him up front even Magic recoverd his abilities!

Defense starts at the front, a player of Gravessens ability anywhere can carry a weaker player, and in teams thats what happens, getting rid of Balde is an assurance that there will be less chance of fuckups, and therefor the team as a whole are much further forward.
And if you read my post I never said in place of, I said instead of.

hubert - i always thought Balde was a strong point in our defence. i'm watching every celtic game and i think he's good at destructing opponent's attacks... but maybe i know nothing about fitba :fear:

I agree he makes some clumsy mistakes but all in all hes does well for us but if we did by a good centre half then i would drop him and play the New Bhoy and McManus.

of course i would be happy with a better centre back than Bobo. Not because Bobo is bad... just because progress is the thing we should aim at... :50:

    MILK WAS A BAD CHOICE..
I understand where you're comin from with that, but let's not forget that a lot of fans look down their teams sheet in each position and say that they are gonna do well.. for example, look at Birmingham City last year (Heskey, Cunningham, Dunn, Forsell, Jarosik), or West Ham a few years back (Defoe, Carrick, Kanoute etc) but they simply weren't a football team! Even Real Madrid can't put square pegs in round holes with thier heavily bankrolled Galacticos policy, which sells shirts and makes great news, but has yet to create a great team!

We need to look like we blend in attack, and I think Strachan has got somethings spot on in that we need threat and fluidity from all over the park, but most of all, we need to be solid!

Think of almost any great sports team in history and they will have been built on a solid defence.. we have a soft centre at present, though am hopeful that Balde, Cuthbert, McManus, Caldwell, Kennedy, Gravesen(?)could cure that problem between them.. surely there's some solution to be had from that lot?!!

    hail, hail :celt_2:
