After reading the thoughts on Lennon leaving and some saying if he were to leave due to horrendous threats and basically, imo, a witch hunt agaisnt him, who is in the stance that Celtic FC should withdraw from the SPL? Or who would want us to stay and attempt to find a manager?

Unsure. The right thing to do seems to be to leave. But there is nowhere to go and if we end up playing in a lesser league then the hun have won. I am actually more leaning towards stay and get a new manager.

truthfully i think it would be as good a reason as any to get out of this league, if we can't be assured of the safety of our manager then i don't see why we should feel obliged to stay; surely we'd have a case with FIFA or UEFA if that indeed happened

i would quite happily join League 2 in England and work our way up; its a risk but give it 5 years we would be in the Premiership :50:

withdrawing from the SPL is a stupid idea, its not the SPL sending him the threats, its idiots who follow the huns, if we wer in the SPL or not and even if he was celtic manager or not i think these morons would still carry on with ther antics

    Withdraw and go where?

If it was an option l would go to the league 2 and work my our way up on the basis that the huns were left behind but its not an option.

If the Huns were going to be included in some kind of joint venture South then I'd be against it.Only if we get to go ourselves, there's no reason for them to want a move. It's their scumbag support attacking our team, and the relevant authorities who do everything they can to * us over.

I despise the SPL /SFA and all those that would have us down.

A disgrace that the SPL/SFA have not came out and condemned the threats against Neil Lennon from Rangers Supporters.

A disgrace that the Police authorities dont start arresting the huns who break the law at games with their songs of bigotry and sectarianism.

A disgrace that people in this country are more (mock) outraged over a manager of a club that shows passion and fire (and thunder) than the fear and threat he is living in on a daily basis.

We really are a small minded , narrow and petty nation at times.

    I'll go with this!

Remember Sky carry a lot of weight with the EPL and a case could be made to UEFA. A deal could be done if Sky and celtic got together. But the big IF is would sky want it?

I personaly would stay and i would try and get one over in the rankers in every chance i had, after all its cause we are putting there team to the sword every time we play them latley n most of them are acting like cave men. These scum bags think they are already winning, with lenny now saying if his family get touched he is out of there (i would be the same) they know what buttons to push and i personally dont think they will stop harrassing him. And i had a heated converation with mate, i says if lenny`s team was not doing so well and playing the way they were he would not be getting half ths crap he is getting!!!!,he totally disagreed he says he would be getting it regardless, i called him a typical hun:31::31::31::31: what a joke these people are.

it all depends on the reaction of the spl/sfa if lenny were to leave though my gut instinct is that they would sweep it under the carpet and behind closed doors theyd be laughing their fat arses off. if that was to be the case then i would want us to withdraw try our luck in the lower leagues down south it'd be tough but we are the celtic we'll be grand on the other hand the other mob would crash and burn within months which would lead to at least a restructuring or possible collapse of pro football up here and to be honest the way we have been treated down the years then thatll be a big tough * to them. its time we looked after our own interests and at the very least stop this "old firm" carryon im sick of my club being lumped in with that mob at every turn

If Lenny had to leave because of all of this I would want to see Celtic withdraw from Scottish football completely, and if we couldn't get in down South at whatever level would take us with the help of UEFA/FIFA and Sky then I would go to the LOI. The Irish League with just Celtic would be no worse than the Scottish League with just Rangers (who without us and therefore most of the TV revenue gone would be bust in a year or so anyway).

Needless to say if we moved leagues I would attempt to reinstate Neil Lennon as manager of Celtic immediately.

The silence from the media, Rangers, the police and the SPL/SFA on the treatment of Lenny is nothing short of disgraceful, and if anything happens to him or * forbid his partner or child then I would personally hold all of the above as responsible.

The problem I can see though is all this 'Old Firm' nonsense still coming out of Celtic Park. I was disgusted to see that 'Old Firm Six Point Plan' from Lawell and Bain last week, whatever happened to no more guilt by association, we should be doing everything we can to distance ourselves from a club who could be no more different to us. In the summer I voiced my extreme displeasure at yet ANOTHER joint sponsorship deal with Tennants (and what a joke to hear them all at that summit last week talking about Scotland's relationship with alcohol - Tennants sponsor both Celtic and Rangers, and the national team), we have joint deals all over the place, Audi is another one off the top of my head I think.

Celtic in my opinion should release a press statement that anyone referring to the club as part of the Old Firm in print, on the radio or the television will be denied access to Celtic Park completely - until we are seen as wanting nothing to do with Rangers, we will never be seen as any different. Why should we as a club have to tackle issues that only Rangers have?

Heres a thought, Lenny wins the treble then comes out and condems the sfa, refs, huns etc then leaves and goes down to manage in England or abroad then we get Mon back in and wipe the floor wi the huns fore the next 5 years!!!!

no one man is more important than this club . if lennon were to leave due to the threats then it would be a disgrace , no doubt . BUT withdraw from the spl , go to the LOI or league 2 and this club would never be as big again , and possibly not survive. dont forget atm we are financially strong , have some valuable assets on the park , and a good future. After what the Kellys nearly did to this club in the early 90s, it would a tragedy for us to leave the spl and put this club in danger again. leaving rangers here to rot ? well im afraid thats just cutting off your nose to spite your face...because away from the spl , and particularly in the LOI , we would rot. League 2 would be far too big a risk . so lets not get too carried away , if Lenny leaves it is because it is the right decision for him and his family , and we should respect that . that doesnt mean we jeapordise the future of this football club just to prove a point or make a stand against those who are against us , then they win . Neil Lennon is a celtic supporter and would want nothing more than for us to succeed in Europe again , so if he does leave , lets stay put and build on the foundations Neil Lennon has layed.

I would love for us to join league 2 but my thinking would be how many of our star players would stay?

I can imagine the celtic support getting stronger and celtic wouldn't miss out on the money to much because of it, but my worry would be that with celtic being in league 2 loads of top tier teams would swoop in and pluck them.

Fantasy mate we will be in the SPL whether we like it or not, and it won't be changing any time in the foreseeable future.
