    we might find it aye but what you need to remember is that whatever it sees was actually there millions of years ago, the light takes that long to travel to the sattelite!

    I strongly believe that in the next 30-50 years when NASA sends a probe to Europa (moon of Jupiter IIRC) and it drills down through the ice into the gigantic untouched ocean that we will find life.

    we'll see a mission to europa a lot sooner than that bud.one will be launched in the next 10-15 years as far as i know

    HATE TO BE PEDANTIC BUT

    A few thousand light years = how far light can travel in "a few thousand years". That means that theoretical light is thousands of years away from us. Which also means that any form of communication would take a minimum of a few thousand years because nothing travels faster than light.
