The supporters ARE the club mate. Trophies are a means of bring pride, joy & satisfaction to Celtic supporters, bottom line. When you fail to bring these things you fail.

 

As i said, look at our record under Strachan. Generally we dont concede many and thats because the team is very well organized. So much so that its rigid and boring to watch.

depends what fails means. If there's a full house of supporters who have passion for and pride in their club then it's no failure, IMO. And Im not advocating the fans running the club, just keeping an ear to the ground with their general reaction to how things are going as well as simply the trophy room and balance sheet. Balance. A football club is more than the bottom line, it's how you get there. Especially Celtic.

You prove my point that a successful manager shouldnt be sacked because of a minority of supporters. Not all Celtic supporters can get to games, we are a global community, so I would consider those disgruntled fans around Glasgow, a minority.

Strachan isnt a Celtic Man, get rid of him. He supported Hibs as a boy, even though they were his local team, I dont care, he should have been a Celtic Fan, through and through. From the day he was born I mean, not when he was 5 and seen the greats, it has to be in his blood.

Do you know what I want, I want us to lose the league to Rangers by a point, I want it to be exciting, I want us to gloriously fail at the last hurdle in the Champions League for 3 years, I want us to be beaten 3-1 by Inverness Caledonian Thistle at home to ruin the only chance we have of a trophy.

I want to be a real fan, and turn up away from Home and sing IRA songs, I want to stand outside chanting "Sack the Board" while its * with rain, I want to be embarassed by Rangers time and time again, at Home and Away.

I want to walk into a game with Rangers and expect to be beaten, rather than expecting to win and be dissapointed to be beaten.

Those days are gone, we are a successfull team, and we are the dominant force in Scotland, we are financially on a sound footing, we have a team of, when fully fit, quality players, capable of dominating Scotland for years to come.

But I dont want that, I want a Celtic man in the "Hot Seat" and I want to finish 3rd!!

My last word - the fact Strachan isnae a Celtic man is neither here nor there. I'd be great if he was, just like I'd be great if every Celtic player was, but in the end it doesn't much matter. I just want somebody with some rapport with the support, or at least somebody who makes an effort to build one. And even more so I want someone who can put together a side entertaining enough that Celtic supporters want to go to games and enjoying watching.

These aren't unreasonable things to expect.

This season, i'm happier than i have been in previous years. The Euro performances are in keeping with realism, sadly - Aalborg aside - and other than that i think we are coming on to a game and look very dangerous in all honesty.

 

I dont need to defend them. They're the whole point that stadium is there, the whole point those players are running around kicking a football a couple of times a week. The Celtic support might collectively be the biggest idiots in the world for all it matters, they don't respond to Strachan bottom line, there's no defense or explanations needed. If they're not happy & the people employed by the club fail.

I like his attitude towards the media, put them in their place but some fans think his frustration with them is frustrations with the Celtic fans, which is isnt. I've read alot of articles, seen alot of media conferences and I never see him be negative towards the fans, its a complete misconception where the minority are trying to manipulate against him.

The point of the players is to win matches & win titles as you pointed out, entertaining the fans isnt even secondary to that.

 

But most, in fact nearly all of these supporters that you keep mentioning are content/happy with Strachan, it is a small minority who dislike Strachan, not the majority.
