Pitt St. is the buisness area of town, safe enough.
    Molly Malones is not far.
no huns pubs near here so if you want to wear the hoops you should
be ok though i never do in town just in case.dont know hotel policy on colours.
there are a few clubs around,(some of the younger guys will know them)
    and loads of indian restaurants.

Safe area and a popular Hotel. Five minutes from Sauchiehall Street shopping area with plenty of restaurants around. Easy enough to walk down Sauchiehall St & get a bus (61 or 62) from Renfield Street which takes you straight to Celtic Park or the many Celtic pubs in the Gallowgate.

Several Irish bars in the city center and nightlife is varied. Depending on what music etc you are into someone will know the best places to go.

Don't really know the quality of Hotels in the city to be honest but plenty of Bhoys make the trip over from Ireland every week and stay over so they might be able to help out more.

Novo are a chain Hotel and so unlikely to be a dive. Danger of not booking if you get a good deal on offer is the rooms go quick and you can end up struggling to find somewhere else.

Can't think of any hotels near the Gallowgate to be honest, which isn't a surprise since it's a dump of an area!

Novotel will do you fine, Pitt Street as has been said is right next to Sauchiehall Street, so tons of pubs on your doorstep. Also Police HQ is on Pitt Street so would imagine it's relatively safe.

Yeah this hotel is ok, i have stayed in it once, cant remember policy on jerseys though, i usually stay round corner in Premier Inn (charing cross) as other lads have said its city centre so safe enough, and most of the clubs and pubs on sauchiehall street cater for an indie/student crowd.

There is a decent b and b off Duke Street in the east end called Seaton Guest House, its really good and not expensive but I doubt they will have any vacancies so near to the game but you can try ssending them an email :50:
