Bottom line is even if he was deeply hurt by any chanting in his direction i wouldn't give a flying * how he felt. i'm sure he could dry his eyes with the huge pay check he gets.

I haven't said that you were going off topic, I was highlighting the fact that regardless of whatever the truth may be, you continually want to use this issue to spout abuse at someone, whether they are guilty or not. What does this even mean? I've only 'stayed' on any particular points because they are the ones at the crux of the discussion.

Perhaps as someone who wasn't born at the time, I shouldn't expect you to see any correlation between the two situations. To simplify it the best I can would be to say that many peoples attitudes (at least ones they were willing to shout about in public) to racism back then are different to what they are today. Blatant, premeditated racism towards a player, dressed up as banter requires a similar train of thought as branding another as a * offender based on unproven allegations, IMO. Different era's, same old flawed logic.
