Is rape always rape. Is a 15 year old who says yes to *, the same as an attack by an unknown stranger

A 15 year-old saying yes is consentual, not rape., surely?

It doesn't matter what the circumstances are, rape is rape regardless. If you drug someone or you are violent or whatever, it is a very serious crime and should be treated as such.

I know a 14 year old who went out with a 20 year old for ages. I wouldn't consider them having * rape, but it was incredibly creepy. I think there is a difference with consent morally, but legally there doesn't seem to be, so it's hard to have sympathy for somebody in that sort of situation who winds up in trouble, consentual or not.

It's not rape if both sides agree but adults have no business hooking up with children.

If you have * with a 15 year old, even if she consents, it's classed as rape. Is this the same as getting dragged into the bushes and raped by an unknown stranger

Does it count as rape if a 17 year old has (consentual) * with a 15 year old then, or is it only considered rape if the other person is over 18?

the 20 year old was askin for trouble-im going to assume the 20 year old was male-when you can legally get into pubs and clubs full of willing females why would you be sniffing an underager?* weirdo

Yeah, major creep. He had a whole sob story about becoming an orphan when he was 12 as his reason for connecting to a younger girl, but, although I felt bad for him for that, I still didn't like him for what he was doing. That, and he was a *, anyway.

It's not the same in every country. I believe here it does not count as rape but it's prohibited anyway under 16.

Yes he does have a point and those trying to slate him for it are fully aware of what he meant and are trying to use it to oust him.

A 15 year consentually sleeping with her boyfriend who happens to be of a legal age is nowhere near as bad as an innocent women walking down the street and being dragged into a bush by some disgusting creep.

His statement was 100% factual, in legal terms there are worse 'rapes' than others.

My apologies Wrigley, I misread your first post:52:

In terms of a sexual assault, this is criminal.

If a 15 year old consents, as long as they are of sound mind - and consenting with someone of a reasonable age.....say 15 -17?

Yes, some cases are FAR wore than others.

It is a ridiculous example of political opportunism.Of course rapes are different in severity. Each case should be judged on its merits.
By the way....i do not think the age of the man should be relevant.Where do you draw the line?If a 15 yearold says yes, then it may be a crime, but it should not be the crime of rape.

every crime has differing severities in cases - murder is case by case - some murderers get longer sentences if there murder is 'worse' than others, I can see what Clarke meant tbh.
